Trimming all my dad's plants and putting the buds into onion bags is a lot of work. Last night when I finished the first plant I had to use a leaf blower for cleanup under the tent. It was also caked under my shoes. But I won't have to buy it for a year now.And I know it's safe.

Forcing people to do something once is the best way to insure that they will never do it in a voluntary manner. The covid shot in 2021 is the best example of this in my lifetime. I will never forget this and to this day I do not get the covid shot. Just my flu shot, that's it.

1/2 Everyone says they are hiring when they are not. Unemployment is much higher than the reported number. People can't afford food, gas, rent ect.. even when they have what is supposed to be a "good job." We are living through hyper inflation watching US dollars become

2/2 worthless. Despite all this the stock market is up. What we are watching is the liquidation of USA INC. The CEOs at these companies are not citizens of 1 country. They will run to where it's safe and leave us all behind to fight over the economic remains.

I want McDonald's to fail as a company. It is neither fast food nor cheap food at all anymore. They both understaff and treat remaining employees like shit. We don't want your dystopian slop. #TakeItBack

I'm honestly surprised that they don't give her a few Norcos or something knowing that she has a following and can put them on blast. You wouldn't have that problem in Rochester. Doctors here really take their patient satisfaction scores seriously (because they kinda have to.
I have Crohn’s disease and inflammatory arthritis. I do everything right. I eat healthy, consume very little sugar, exercise, drink a gallon of water a day, and take my medications. Biologics, methotrexate, prednisone when needed. For nearly a decade, I was mostly in remission. Then, two months ago, everything changed. Out of nowhere, I developed a fever, ended up hospitalized, and had surgery the next day. I still need another surgery. After a decade, my biologic stopped working. I'm starting a new treatment this week. And right now? I'm in pain. Some mornings I wake up and can barely walk. I can barely use my hands. Crohn's is flaring. Inflammatory arthritis is flaring. Despite doing everything "right." Because that's the reality of chronic illness. You can do everything right and still get incredibly sick. I can't take NSAIDs because of Crohn's. Yet somehow, we've reached a point where the prevailing narrative would have you believe that opioids don't help chronic pain, and conditions like mine shouldn't require them. I'm here to tell you that Crohn's HURTS. Inflammatory arthritis HURTS. And opioids absolutely CAN help. I cannot believe how far off the rails we've gone. Patients are suffering, losing access to medications that help them function, and there are STILL people pushing to restrict opioid prescribing even further. How much more do chronic pain patients have to endure? How much more access needs to be taken away? When will it EVER be enough? I will never stop fighting for patients like me. Because I know firsthand what it's like to live in a body that hurts despite doing everything you're supposed to do. And I refuse to let anyone pretend that pain isn't real or that relief doesn't matter.

Today is an official mental health day. Taking a hot bath and then getting on the bus to go see my therapist. For a guy like me, good mental health is mandatory because it affects every other part of my health.

It doesn't matter who's advice you listen to. Everyone has a theory on how to get hired and after about the 10th one that fails you just be like, fck it I'll at least do it the way that makes sense to me. When you are competing against 1000 resume that AI reads, your chance= 0.1%

Staying home all day and overindulging in food and other instant gratification used to be the most fck the system thing you could do. Now it's become a feature of the system to keep certain people controlled and out of sight, out of mind.

Fck everyone working on this technology. Anti-human scum. @sama @Google @elonmusk @finkd
I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.

Why do you want to work here? Wouldn't it be hilarious if someone said "Oh, you see, it's because I enjoy having money in my checking account."

1/2 I hate HR regardless of the company. They are professional liars. Their job is to minimize risk to the company, not to do the right thing. Now their job is to dick job applicants around. Overqualified, underqualified but doesn't matter because they won't give you an honest

2/2 answer anyway. Don't say that "no one wants to work." I want to work, in a field that my degree supports. What I don't want is a shitty food service job where I have to beg for 20 hours per week, no benefits. Bite me.

youtu.be/fkQYlh7q6UY?is=QpI-… Shame on you CVS. Putting corporate greed over patient and employee safety. Notice how Wegmans has plenty of happy pharmacy staff and still gets their scripts filled on time? They treat patients better too.

I've always seen through negative perks. That's why I don't get all excited whenever I see a pool table, a gym or places to eat on site. Because it signals and expectation of making work your life instead of organizing life around work.
