How on earth is Wilcox still in a job??? He knew Sesko was injured coming into the season. And did nothing to offer support up front.
🚨 Confirmed: Benjamin Sesko out until at least January through shin injury.
Period of rest is required so striker is fully healed.

Brazen racism and bigotry from the President of the United States. Cheers from the crowd. 19th century type scenes.
Rooney calling out Rashford is spot on. Everytime the going gets tough, he's absent with a niggle.
Like Rooney points out, players need to dig in and play through the pain. They have to fight.
But I think Marcus, distances himself from the mess to protect his image.
Chelsea fan.

🇾🇪 David Moyes left with £5.2m in compensation in 2014, Louis van Gaal with £8.4m in 2016, and Jose Mourinho and his staff with £19.6m in 2018.
The 2022 accounts then recorded exceptional costs of £24.7m, covering Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Ralf Rangnick and parts of their backroom teams.
Erik ten Hag and his staff cost a further £10.4m, and Ruben Amorim’s departure came to £8.2m after he took the AC Milan job, a figure that would have been closer to £16m had he not found a new club.
Added together, all that is close to £80m paid out for sackings.
Now, let’s compare that to other clubs.
Arsenal have paid out £27.5m, Liverpool £22.7m, Chelsea £53m and Spurs £60m.
United, the biggest club of the five, and once the most stable, have spent more than any of them, yet we have little more to show for it than Spurs.
A club that pays that much to start over again and again, and still ends up in the same place, clearly has a problem that no manager can solve.
Yet it’s the managers who’ve been quickly shown the door, while those who hired them, didn’t backed them and then dismissed them, have never faced a moment of real scrutiny.
It’s time for the standard applied to the man on the touchline to be equally applied to the people above him.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe might be regarded as a genius in his field of petrochemicals but as co-owner of Man Utd, he leads a clueless cabal, in a state of perma-crisis, torching the reputations of everyone they have touched, writes @oliverbrown_tel

Carrick is on his way out. So he has nothing to lose. Should just throw Kai Rooney up top and let the kid go for it, just like his dad @WayneRooney

‘Michael Carrick will be given time to turn things around’ and ‘the hierarchy do not want to rush next steps’ should be read and digested for what it really is: an indecisive club without any succession planning or contingencies because it doesn’t have clarity of identity in the first place. A club that often takes the cheap instead of the smart or right route because of the crippling Glazer debt, plus decision-makers who are never aligned - except in their own self-preservation. And it ends up costing more.
It explains the chaotic nature of lurching from one coaching philosophy to its extreme, to revisiting candidates that were on the agenda - some as far back as 2019 - that were already ruled out, to having a shortlist of options with nothing in common to take over a mishmash team that has suffered from horrid squad planning; both in incomings and exits.
Blame the players, blame the name in the dugout while the people who brought them to Manchester United, kept them, created the absolute opposite of a culture of excellence are allowed to rinse and repeat.

Keeping Carrick because you believe in him is one thing. Keeping him there while actively looking for his replacement is another.
How can you expect him to lead the club while you're working behind his back to replace him? And then talk about respect, standards and doing things the right way?
A disgusting way to treat an iconic figure in United's history.
The hypocrisy is staggering. Gross incompetence from those running the club.

Wonder if the same people who praised INEOS for their “no noise, no comms” approach during the summer transfer window are still celebrating the radio silence now. 📻🔇

We need some momentum behind the Beckham consortium to takeover @ManUtd
He has the profile to raise the funds.
And he had the star power to attract the likes of Luis Enrique to take on the project.
Create an affiliation between United and Miami. It just seems so perfect
🗣️ David Beckham: “I believe I know the right people to take Manchester United back to the top, we've had enough and we say enough is enough, the glazers family it's time for them to leave the club to other people, it's not their property the club belongs to all of us. I may want to own the club as well 😆. we want the noise to go away and the decision to be made for the Coach also"

David Beckham did not say this. The post fabricates and mixes phrases from his 2023 interviews while adding invented claims.

None of this is Carricks fault. He isn't a good enough manager for the task at United. But thats not his fault.
Its the fault of those who appointed him.
