In her remarks, Minister Irere encouraged the scholars to make the most of this opportunity, reminding them that leadership goes beyond personal achievement. It is about using one's knowledge, skills and opportunities to make a positive difference in the lives of others. “Seize this opportunity, shape it and share its benefits. Begin your internships ready to learn, serve and lead. Work with discipline. Act with integrity. Ask with curiosity and listen with humility. Leadership is not only about personal success. It is about using your knowledge, skills and opportunities to improve the lives of others and contribute to the development of your communities and your country” she said.
Today, Minister of State for Education @ClaudetteIrere officiated at the commissioning ceremony of the 6th Cohort of the Equity Leaders Program in Rwanda. The Minister also urged graduates to remain resilient, embrace lifelong learning and measure their achievements by the positive impact they make on others. “Your first job does not define your entire career. Your first setback does not determine your future. What matters is your determination to keep learning, adapt to change and turn challenges into opportunities.”
Minister Nsengimana encouraged graduates to look beyond seeking employment and consider how they can use their education to create opportunities, solve problems and improve people's lives. “I encourage you to look beyond the question, ‘Where will I find a job?’ Ask yourselves, ‘What value can I create? What challenge can I help solve? How can I contribute to Rwanda’s development?’”
