Payton got this evaluation back from a highly respected Big12 assistant coach and top recruiter in the country. This school watched her play 4 games at Section7 in Arizona a couple of weeks ago. I thought it was amazing that he shared it with her! @starwalt_payton

Her shooting is amazing.. foot work, creating space, quickness of her shot.. amazing! Her 3 point shooting percentage is so high and I never see her take an easy shot. 20,000 hours! lol

So true, I honestly can’t believe the amount of hate people have in their heart.

Bless some of yall hearts man. Life must be miserable, like really miserable. So miserable you wake up, yawn, grab your phone, go on social media and say “hmmm….how can I be divisive, hateful and spew negative things consistently”…..then you start with ya Twitter fingers. There needs to be a consequences button somewhere!

Every once in awhile, I get asked to show what Payton’s missed shots look like. My comment is that they look like her makes but didn’t go in.🤣 Here is today’s makes AND misses for those asking. She’s normally a 45% 3 point shooter, don’t expect 68% all the time! @starwalt_payton

I mean, I had doubts she is human, but I wasn’t going to be the one who was going to say it.

A player that I’m excited and very curious to see this winter is Texas Tech 7’1 Center Stephanie Okechukwu. Having that type of size in women’s basketball on defense & offense is going to cause a lot of problems. If she can keep up with the pace, going to make a HUGE impact!

shooting % is insane when considering range and level of difficulty What really stands out is how well she is creating for others how consistently she is creating for others as she empties the clip Most players it's one or the other she consistently does both at a high level

I got a couple of DM’s from coaches asking how I would handle it. My answer, definitely on a team by team basis. I’ve had teams who were so connected, I’m wouldn’t take the chance & others where, I 100% would have tried to add a great player if possible.

Don’t be surprised when team chemistry is very tough to manage in college basketball as teams add players and make roster changes a few days before opening tip. That win at all costs approach may not get the results they want long term.
