We’re back at it again. This time a with a flexor strain.
College pitcher presents with elbow tightness and pain. Ultrasound confirms Grade 1 FCU strain.
We started with manual therapy, shoulder stability, BFR forearm loading, and dry needling. By the end of the first week we were throwing low effort plyos from various drills to groove specific positions.
Week 2 we were throwing baseballs with increasing distance, effort, and volume. By the end of week 3 we built in compression throws.
Week 3 we introduce the mound with a moderate effort but high volume. At the end of the week we were throwing 30 pitch max effort pens and he’s back to sitting 90-92mph.
A diagnosis that typically has you down 6-8 weeks we had back at 100% and feeling and throwing better than before the injury in exactly 21 days.
We have so many more cases like this, including big league all-stars. This will change the game forever.
