What @glennbeck and @RyanWalters_ are describing is a system that treats accusations of abuse as a public-relations problem rather than a child-safety problem.
Bureaucrats and unions have built procedures that make firing teachers expensive, slow, and headline-risky, so the rational choice for the institution is a quiet exit and a transfer to the next district.
This explains the media’s silence as well. When coverage treats unions as the default authority on education, you’ll see little discussion on how that authority is used to move predators instead of removing them.
