Another reason Brooks is hiding from debates: He doesn’t want to answer for his extreme agenda. Bob Brooks has promised over $40 trillion in new spending. To fund that, his plan calls for repealing the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act as well as the Working Families Tax Cuts. This means $3,500 in annual tax increases for the average Pennsylvanian, and that’s just to start. Here’s his plan: ❌ Raising income tax rates for everyone ❌ Reducing the Standard Deduction by over 50% ❌ Repealing the $6,000 bonus deduction for seniors ❌ Slashing the Child Tax Credit by over 50% ❌ Repealing no tax on tips and overtime ❌ Cutting funding for child care and paid family leave ❌ Eliminating the 20% small business deduction ❌ Massive cuts to affordable housing

Spent the day crisscrossing the district — from Allentown to Easton, and Jim Thorpe to Forks Township! From knocking on doors to attending parades and community events, it was great to connect with people throughout the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos. While our opponent runs from debates, we’re bringing our message of Delivering for Our Community directly to the people!

While I’ve been delivering real reform, Bob Brooks has been delivering for himself. The Lehigh Valley and the Poconos deserve a representative who shows up and puts our communities first.

Why won’t Bob Brooks debate at WFMZ? Maybe he doesn’t want to answer tough questions about all of his scandals. The video may be artificial. The questions are real.

Bob Brooks pulled out of tonight’s debate. When it came time to face tough questions, he chose not to show up. Voters deserve someone who will show up for them!

Bob Brooks promised voters he’d debate. That promise turned into his latest fraud. Bob strung everyone along — the network, his supporters, and every voter in the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos. He betrayed them all. The worst part? Bob probably never planned to show up. Here’s the truth: We agreed to half a dozen dates for debates on four separate outlets. We wanted to have a debate before the start of mail-in ballots so every voter could have the chance to compare the candidates before casting their ballot. Bob dragged his feet for weeks and declined every single date on every single outlet except the last possible option — October 21st, when tens of thousands of local residents would have already voted. The only reason to do this was to minimize the damage when he inevitably skipped the debate. This is yet another hoax from a guy who has ripped off his family, his workers, and every taxpayer in the district. Our communities deserve better.

Bob Brooks is blowing you off, but we never will. Since Brooks decided not to show up for today’s debate, we did the next best thing and took our message directly to voters. We’ll keep showing up and delivering results for the people of the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos.

You have the right to know why Bob Brooks pulled out. It’s because he has no answers for the serious allegations plaguing his campaign. Here are the facts that Brooks is too scared to face in a debate. 👉 Defrauding the taxpayers: ⚫ In 2020, while our communities were hurting, Bob Brooks saw an opportunity to cash in. ⚫ Brooks applied for $30,000 in Northampton County small business covid relief grants, which were funded by the taxpayers. ⚫ On that application, Brooks reported that he had no judgements against him and that he was not in default on any loans or leases. ⚫ Public records indicate that Brooks faced three open judgements at the time, all of which involved outstanding debts. ⚫ Because of these lies, Brooks received $30,000 in covid relief funds. ⚫ The application made clear that lying was a state and federal crime punishable by up to five years in prison. 👉 Stealing from his family: ⚫ Brooks stole from his own family and had to be taken to court. ⚫ After losing the lawsuit, Brooks was ordered to pay a judgement of $130,000. ⚫ Despite the judgement, Brooks refused to repay his family. ⚫ Brooks then engaged in an allegedly fraudulent property transfer which a lawyer described as an “outrageous” and “malicious” act of “subterfuge.” ⚫ Immediately after transferring the property in order to hide his assets, the Brookses took out a $330,000 mortgage. ⚫ After this scheme was uncovered by the family members Brooks stole from, he was dragged back to court. ⚫ Brooks desperately tried to have this case dismissed, but a judge ordered that the case could proceed. ⚫ After being called out in ads by Congressman Mackenzie, Brooks secretly settled the case. He has refused to disclose the terms, and the plaintiffs in the suit are forbidden to speak about it under the terms of the settlement. 👉 Screwing over his workers: ⚫ Brooks failed to purchase workers’ comp coverage from 2017-2021. ⚫ Pennsylvania law requires all businesses with employees to purchase workers’ comp coverage in case a worker gets injured. ⚫ LinkedIn records continue to show that at least one person reports working for Brooks’ business during the time when Brooks failed to provide the legally-required coverage. ⚫ That individual also reported managing six-person teams during his time with the business. ⚫ Failure to provide workers’ comp is punishable under Pennsylvania law with fines and prison time. 👉 Corrupt Lobbyist: ⚫ Despite his claims to be a political outsider, Brooks has worked for nearly five years as a lobbyist. ⚫ Brooks has been caught on tape confessing to selling out his union to political bosses on matters of endorsements. ⚫ In interviews, Brooks has admitted that he was handpicked in “back rooms” to run for Congress. ⚫ As a union boss, Brooks has taken multiple raises while also increasing union dues and cutting services for members. ⚫ Brooks called volunteer firefighters “shitbags” and “scabs” because he believes they take work from professional firefighters. 👉 Lying and hiding: ⚫ Brooks was rightfully accused by his past Democratic opponent of “falsifying” his legally-required ethics disclosure by withholding details about debts and judgements. ⚫ Brooks has misrepresented his wealth — claiming to be working-class while actually being worth as much as $3.9 million. ⚫ Despite claiming he wants to ban congressional stock trading, Brooks owns hundreds of thousands of dollars in stocks in large corporations, including 21 AI-affiliated companies. ⚫ Brooks illegally masked an excess campaign contribution from his wife by disguising it under her maiden name. ⚫ Brooks has declined or pulled out of debates on four separate platforms.

We’re two weeks out from the election and Bob Brooks just bailed! Brooks knew he couldn’t answer the tough questions about his far-left policy positions or all of his scandals, including why he lied on an application to get taxpayer money. I always have and always will show up to fight for you. And, even if we don’t agree on everything, I respect you enough to show up to debate the issues. If re-elected, I will keep fighting for everyone in our community!
