Ryan Laws

Just finished watching Merrimack vs NJIT, final score: NJIT 57, MC 35. Some thoughts: Naomi Wilson continues to provide a boost in scoring and on the glass, she had 6 points and 8 rebounds, also started the second half for the second time in a row. Claudia Crespo put up 6 points on 6 shots, someone the Warriors would love to take over the game. Joi Williams led the team with 7 points, did a nice job getting to the FT line (5-5). Warriors turned the ball over 30 times, 34 against FSU, that number is going to drop but it’s obviously giving their opponent a ton of chances to score in transition. Olivia Borsutzki is a real spark, she didn’t get to play as much as in game 1 due to foul trouble, but she’s rebounding and getting on the floor a ton for MC. The Warriors will come to Lawler for the home opener on Sunday at 2pm, they will take on Maine in the second leg of the Metro-America East Challenge.

HALFTIME: Lowell 38, Merrimack 26 Jayden Harris is lighting Lawler up right now from distance, 4 first half threes, he’s got 18 overall points Elijah Wilborn leads the way for MC with 5 PTS and it’s been a priority to find him inside Warriors shooting 1/9 from distance, again water has to find its level soon. Overall, no doubt in my mind that this team can overcome this deficit in the final 20.
