Carter

My friend had been dating his partner for almost five years. When they met, she was struggling financially, and he was the one who supported her through some of the most difficult moments of her life. He helped her pay her school fees, supported her when she lost her job, and even gave her money to start a small business. He never complained because he genuinely believed they were building a future together. When her business finally became successful, things started changing. She became more financially independent, started travelling with her friends, and gradually stopped including him in her plans. At first, he thought she was simply enjoying the results of her hard work. But one evening, he noticed that she had changed the password to her phone. Whenever he asked who she was chatting with, she became irritated. One night, he casually asked when they would finally start planning their wedding, considering how long they had been together. She looked at him and said, “I think we should stop putting pressure on this relationship. I need time to figure out what I really want.”
