One of Brazil's few independent left-wing parties, the Trotskyist @PCO29, has long been vehemently opposed to Moraes' censorship regime (their own accounts have been banned), and are adamant that Moraes is persecuting his own and Lula's critics, including Flavio Bolsonaro:👇

🚨🇧🇷 International observers should demand the logs.
On Brazil’s 4 October election night, the national presidential count froze at its 19:06 update. In a video, the person filming says it is already 19:55 then opens Pernambuco, where the board shows an update stamped 20:16.
The TSE blamed a temporary “congestion” in the publication system and said the vote total was unaffected. Congestion does not explain a timestamp from the future.
Publish the server logs for 19:00–20:30 BRT. What does 20:16 mean on a clock that still reads 19:55?
🚨🇧🇷 Brazil’s election night COUNT has another strange detail that requires an explanation...
In this video, the national presidential results appear stuck with their last update at 19:06, while the woman recording says it is already 19:55 Brasília time.
Then she opens Pernambuco.
Its count is nearly complete, but the system apparently displays a 20:16 update, even though the clock is still showing 19:55.
Brazil’s electoral authority has acknowledged its results-publication system suffered a temporary "congestion problem" that night, but said the underlying vote total was unaffected.
That may have an innocent technical explanation. But what exactly does a future timestamp mean here??

“Moraes the Iron Fist: The Vorcaro Payoff That Toppled Bolsonaro”**
…The numbers alone should have set off every alarm in Brasília.
By Hotspotnews
R$3.6 million per month. R$129 million guaranteed over three years. A contract signed in January 2024 between Daniel Vorcaro’s Banco Master and the law firm owned by Viviane Barci de Moraes—the wife of the Supreme Court justice who would soon become the single most powerful figure in Jair Bolsonaro’s criminal prosecution.
No detailed billing. No public filings showing appearances before the Central Bank, CADE, or Congress. Just a steady river of cash flowing to the household of the man who controlled the evidence, the courtroom, and the narrative that branded Bolsonaro a coup plotter.
Then the banker’s phone was seized. Messages surfaced—Vorcaro pressing for “protection,” Moraes replying in the kind of coded language that vanishes the moment it’s read. The same Vorcaro who was later arrested fleeing the country after orchestrating one of the biggest banking frauds in Brazilian history. The same Moraes who, months earlier, had stared down American sanctions like an untouchable hero—only to see those sanctions quietly lifted right as the Banco Master scandal broke wide open.
Connect those dots and the picture isn’t subtle.
It isn’t a conspiracy theory when the timeline screams coordination, the money screams motive, and the outcome screams convenience: a populist president neutralized, a fraudulent empire shielded (for a while), and a justice whose iron-fist image suddenly looks more like rented armor.
Brazil isn’t being asked to believe in shadows. It’s being asked to ignore the neon sign flashing in plain sight: the man who buried Bolsonaro may have been on someone else’s payroll.
The question is no longer “Did it happen?”
The question is: How much longer will we pretend it didn’t?

But Bluesky also has no legal representation in Brazil.

We willl begin publishing the long list of @Alexandre’s crimes, along with the specific Brazilian laws that he broke tomorrow.
Obviously, he does not need to abide by US law, but he does need to abide by his own country’s laws.
He is a dictator and a fraud, not a justice.
On Brazilian Justice de Moreas's order shutting down X:
The text of his 51-page decision is far more concerning and sweeping than the headlines suggest.
de Moreas’s own words make clear that he is attempting to strike a broader blow against free speech and in favor of authoritarian controls.
His opinion does not even try to hide it. He comes right out and points to Brexit and the 2016 election of President Trump as examples, in his telling, of the types of extreme “populist” outcomes that he is attempting to avoid by imposing a new censorship regime in Brazil ahead the country’s elections later this year.
But this type of censorship of a political and ideological nature is expressly prohibited by Brazil’s own Constitution.
Nonetheless, de Morea argues that free speech on X cannot be allowed to continue because the diversity of political opinions expressed on the site might influence the people of Brazil ahead of their 2024 elections. See op. at 31-32.
In other words, de Morea is arguing that free speech is a threat to democracy—a position that is as Orwellian as it is dangerous.
The opposite is true. Free speech is democracy’s check on excessive government control. Censorship is the authoritarian’s dream.
To dress up his decision, de Morea runs the warmed over playbook of labeling political speech that runs contrary to his own orthodoxy as “misinformation” and “disinformation.” But authoritarians like de Morea are not worried that people will be misled by the political messages they choose to read. He is worried that those messages will be effective.
At bottom, this decision is part of a live, ongoing, and global debate between free speech and censorship, between freedom and control. It is imperative that free speech and freedom prevail.
Or as the late NY Times editor John Oakes once said, “Diversity of opinion is the lifeblood of democracy. The minute we begin to insist that everyone think the same way we think, our democratic way of life is in danger.” Those are the stakes.

🚨🇧🇷JUDGE MORAES ORDERS POLITICIAN TO DELETE SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS
The Brazilian Supreme Court judge who is on a crusade against free speech, ordered Paola Da Silva Daniel to delete all her social media accounts and surrender her passport.
She is a member of the Brazilian Labour Party, a lawyer, and the wife of Daniel Silveira, who was a federal deputy for the state of Rio de Janeiro and was arrested in 2021 for criticizing members of the Supreme Court.
The order signed by Moraes said:
“Failure to comply with any of the alternative measures will imply the imposition of a daily fine of R$ 50,000, by social network and publication; as well as the immediate decree of preventive detention, pursuant to art. 312, §1º, of the Code of Criminal Procedure.”
