Let people wear what they want to wear. We rely on Western inventions for almost everything. Our smartphones, the internet, modern medicine, the formal education system, and even the social media app you used to post this. If we truly decided to boycott everything foreign and patronize only our indigenous culture, our daily lives would grind to a halt. It makes no sense to act okay to use all their technology but suddenly draw the line at dressing.

You see how he went to America in his agbada and turban? That's how we should be with our indigenous dresses! A white man would never attend a Nigerian event wearing agbada so why should we discard our own cultural dresses for theirs?
