Mulligans Bristol held a competition for school students to design a new hole for their crazy golf course.
Thanks to one of our students in 7Ca2, SBL were the winners and the whole class have been invited for a round of crazy golf!! (Further details to be sent home in due course)
Year 7 & 8 students were given the opportunity to enter a ballot to gain a place in a STEM Workshop sponsored by the prestigious aerospace institution, @Airbus. The workshop is highly interactive & allows students to explore & take part in hands-on aerospace & robotics challenges
Last night, SBL had a wonderful evening celebrating the achievements of our DofE participants. Congratulations to all students on their hard work, resilience and commitment throughout their DofE journey. We are incredibly proud of everything they have accomplished.
SBL has been selling poppies to raise money for military veterans, service personnel, & their families, while also symbolising remembrance for those who died in past & present conflicts. Poppies available at reception, student services, attendance office, the canteen & sixth form
Some of our Sixth form had the opportunity to go to the UK University & Apprenticeship Search Fair.
It was an ideal opportunity for students to speak directly with representatives from Russell Group, & red brick & modern universities, alongside leading apprenticeship providers.
SBL would like to invite family, friends, & the local community to our Year 7 Christmas fair.
Our year 7 students are choosing their stalls, designing posters, making items, and running the stalls. Please come and support us.
Funds raised go towards an exciting year 7 trip.
As part of the GCSE PE Sport Studies course, students need to complete a practical activity under the category of an outdoor adventurous activity. SBL decided to assess students in rock climbing. In order to assess students, they visited a local indoor rock-climbing centre.
Our latest '50 things' badges have been awarded.
By participating in ‘50 Things’, your young person will experience fun, enriching, new experiences, meeting new people and ensuring that they leave SBL with great memories and strong connections with others.

Our Halloween house championship competition of pumpkin carving had some fantastic entries. The judging decision was extremely difficult, but we crowned our winners!

We’re incredibly proud of our Year 13 students, who delivered a fantastic presentation on Wednesday evening, sharing their expedition experiences as part of their Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

SBL played in the South Glous Year 11 netball tournament at Kings Oak Academy & came 2nd - Well done!
The girls also displayed one of our school values, collaboration; the team was short of Year 11 players, so girls from Years 9 & 10 stepped up to ensure the game could go ahead.
