Our 5 year old seems to have deemed himself the local virus warden. Over the fence to our neighbour: ‘JEAN YOU NEED TO GO INSIDE’ ‘Okay I will in a minute’ ‘YOU’RE OLD AND THERE’S A VIRUS’ ‘I’m not that old thank you’ ‘HOW OLD ARE YOU JEAN?’ ‘I’m 68.’ ‘THAT IS NEARLY 70 JEAN.’

Staff at Google, Goldman Sacks and Apple do it. And now so do students at Queensland's first vertical school. They practice mindful meditation and it's just one way Fortitude Valley State Secondary College is revolutionising learning. 7NEWS.com.au @ErinEdwards7 #7NEWS

My daughter Coco and her mate Izzy were up all night baking cupcakes to raise money for the ⁦@RedCrossAU⁩ #bushfireappeal and ⁦#WIRES. If you see them in your travels, it’s $2 a cupcake - all takings and donations matched by me.

A great teacher can turn a student’s life around. This story from Pat Abboud is about something bigger - a great principal turning not just his school but his whole community around.
