South & West Yorkshire Wing has 6 new Staff Drill Instructors! A massive well done to those completing this technically demanding course. The new DIs will use their new skills to help train both Cadets and Staff across the Wing.

Today is International Transgender Day of Visibility, which serves as great reminder that we have a collective responsibility to support our friends, family, colleagues and associates to be their authentic selves.

Do you have good and bad days with your vision? Can you sometimes read print comfortably but the next day, or even later the same day it's no longer possible? This is not unusal. #Nystagmus and your vision can be affected by how you're feeling, physically and emotionally.

Excellent to have 12 cadets achieve their Blue Pre-@DofE badges! 3 months of hard work has paid off! We are looking forward to turning these into Bronze Badges later this year!

Today is Mothering Sunday and we would like to thank all our mothers who work so hard to support the cadets at 2388! Here we have three generations at the squadron; OC Flt Lt Williamson, her mum and CWC Treasurer Jean Garside and daughter Cadet Williamson. Happy Mother’s Day!

To the Mum's that are:
the taxi drivers,
the alarm clocks,
the audible kit lists,
the ironers (checking those creases!),
the confidence builders,
the comforters,
The paperwork scribers,
and those that simply let go of their child's hand to step through the Sqn doors alone.

Anyone can feel tired, but people who have #Nystagmus sometimes live with almost constant fatigue. It's thought to be caused by all the additional effort to see, focus and concentrate when the eyes are constantly moving. What's your experience - how do you alleviate fatigue?

This week three of our Cadets visited the World War One battlefields with their High School. They were lucky enough to be able to participate along others in the Menin Gate Service of Remembrance. We are incredibly proud of them at 2388 Squadron! #SimplexOptimus
