Game has officially been postponed. Talks among coaches are the game could be rescheduled for the last week of the regular season. Watch our website 1380kcim.com for that date to be announced later!

Next fall will be my 25th year in coaching. I’ve seen a lot of talent come and go. At the end of the day the one trait that I’ve learned is more important than everything else is dependability. Doesn’t matter how good you are, but can your team depend on you? All the time?

Parents: Teach kids that their relationship with their coach is THEIR relationship. They have to take the initiative to work out issues instead of depending on you to do it. Don’t intervene on their behalf unless it’s absolutely necessary. That kind of independence is invaluable.

Parents of High School aged athletes: if your son is old enough to drive a car, he is old enough to be the one communicating with the coach. They need to learn this skill and take responsibility. Parents: funnel your questions through the player.
There will be no baseball activities for the next 4 weeks. We will follow all @IHSAA guidelines & be flexible with any adjustments.

We are assuming this will include information regarding baseball as well. Stay calm and baseball on...
We will provide spring activity guidance tomorrow for member schools, in cooperation with @IGHSAU, @IowaHSMA, and the Iowa High School Speech Association.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Players: Talk!! Talk to each other & hold your teammates accountable!
BAD teams never talk
AVERAGE teams talk when they're winning
GOOD teams talk often
GREAT teams never stop talking
CHAMPIONSHIP teams always talk about talking more... in huddles, at halftime, in time outs!
Go get that hardware!
HUGE WRESTLING MEET TOMORROW! The wrestling team is going for the conference title tomorrow night in Rockwell City at 6PM! The triangular involves #9 Emmetsburg and #16 Manson! Get there and cheer them on! One of the biggest wrestling meets in a couple years!! #titanpride
