Thank you for voting in the primary and for supporting our campaign. And a BIG thank you to my campaign team and our volunteers--I couldn't do this without all of you. I am deeply honored by the trust the voters have placed in me. Our campaign has always been about fighting for the people of Northern Minnesota—ensuring good jobs, accessible healthcare, a strong economy, and retirement security. Tonight’s victory is a testament to the power of our community and the desire for real change in Washington D.C. People throughout the district have told me that they’re tired of the divisiveness, the hate, the politics of fear, the blaming and complaining coming from my opponent. They want their representative to be on their side, doing the work for their community, and voting in support of bipartisan bills like infrastructure and border security. I'll be focused on bringing meaningful investments to our region, fixing our economy so it works for everyone, accessible and affordable housing and childcare, providing opportunities for small businesses, fair taxation, strengthening Social Security and Medicare, and expanding services for veterans. I'll show up, listen, and work across party lines to solve real problems. I'll prioritize putting our country, our rights and our freedom above political party. Voters are eager for a leader who will bring their voices to Congress. Now, it’s on to November. We’re ready to bring true representation to Minnesota’s 8th District. I’m ready to fight tirelessly to earn the support of every voter in this district and ensure that Northern Minnesota has a strong, independent voice in Washington D.C. I'm a proven leader with a track record of getting things done. I had support from over 70% of voters in my last state legislative race–a significant amount in this highly polarized political environment. As a state legislator with a 100% pro-labor voting record, I fought for working families, improved access to healthcare, successfully secured capital investment projects for my district, closed corporate tax loopholes, and protected Lake Superior as a Great Lakes Commissioner.
