San Diego is stepping up for working families impacted by the federal government shut down. Proud to partner with @SDFoodBank to help distribute food and support to thousands of households. We won't let gridlock in D.C. stop us from doing the right thing here at home. #ForAllofUs

On Saturday, I visited @sdfoodbank and talked about their work to support hungry San Diegans during the shutdown. I was happy to lend a hand and bag some produce and donate my take-home salary to San Diego’s food banks.
As the food safety net for our community, the San Diego Food Bank is ready and equipped to meet the needs of our neighbors during emergencies like governmental shutdowns.

September is #HungerActionMonth & #HungerAwarenessMonth! @SDFoodBank feeds neighbors in need and composts unusable food on-site, keeping food waste from creating climate pollution in landfills. Watch their impact.

Today, Team Peters honors National Food Bank Day. One in four San Diegans doesn’t have enough food to eat. The @SDFoodBank distributed over 3 million nutritious meals to hungry families last year and I’m grateful to work alongside them to create a #HungerFreeSD.
