Knights had a great Homecoming last night. Up next for the Knights will be at Greensburg #GoKnights #KFI
South Dearborn hosted and beat the Richmond Red Devils 35-28 at last night’s homecoming game. The Knights pushed the score to 35-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Red Devils cut but never quite recovered from. Freshman quarterback Griffin Sturgeon passed for 277 yards and 3 touchdowns in the win. Wyatt Adams, Tyler Christian, and Brady Ballart were the recipients of those TD passes. The Knights also rushed for 144 yards and 1 TD. Mason Lane had 70 yards on 11 carries and Brady Ballart had the only rushing TD along with 67 yards on the ground.
Senior Colton McClure opened up the 3rd quarter with a 60 yard kickoff return for a TD. That TD extended the Knights led to 27-7, but the Red Devils didn't quit. The Knight defense made plays when it mattered to halt the Red Devil run in the second half. Dallas Terrill led the defense with 4 tackles, 6 assists, 1 sack, and 2 tackles for a loss. Ballart and McClure both had interceptions in the game.
After a 3 game home stand the Knights will take their 3-1 record on the road to Greensburg this Friday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 pm.
Go Knights!
