Fighting to keep San Diego America’s Finest City

San Diego, CA
Joined February 2026
Midway Dr was completely closed this morning between Rosecrans & Barnett The problem is not only on the surface- San Diego needs to be concerned about the weight & pressure of rising sea levels + groundwater intrusion damaging infrastructure throughout the Midway area.
PB drive is under water again (still) so avoid the area unless you're in a kayak

Vote Bailey to counter Gloria. We need to tear SD back from Gloria, the council, and their horrendous policies.

The City of San Diego increased spending on homeless programs by 11X in the past ten years to $110M annually but homeless counts only got worse. On enforcement, just 48 out of over 1,100 police contacts for illegal tent encampments resulted in an arraignment. So with programs that don’t require a change in lifestyle and enforcement without meaningful consequences, it shouldn’t be a surprise that spending on homeless programs is increasing while outcomes are not improving. Cities have a dual responsibility: 1) connect those that want help, with temporary assistance and 2) maintain clean and safe public spaces for everyone else. Refusing help should not grant anyone the right to violate all other laws. The good news is that help is available to those that want it. The bad news is that the city’s current approach is enabling the problem, rather than solving it.

The point of no return by Richard von Mises is worth reading: "A state becomes almost unreformable when the majority of the population is financially or structurally dependent on the state (state employees, civil servants, recipients of subsidies, grants, or transfer payments, etc.). As soon as those who net benefit from or are supported by the state outnumber those who do not, the system blocks reforms, since the majority votes out of self-interest for the preservation or expansion of state services." Does this sound familiar? Some European countries, France, Belgium, Finland are already way beyond that point, closely followed by Germany, Spain, Austria and Italy. It works for a while, as long as markets buy more sovereign debt at reasonable interest rates. The party ends when they stop though. For France, they stopped this month, Belgium will be next. The longer the socialist illusion persists, the more painful the inevitable cuts and adjustments will be. It’s pure arithmetic. Good luck Europe, good luck Euro. Buckle up, it won’t be pretty.

Yes, this is the YIMBYs’ goal. Gentrify and upzone to push out the poors…and create a permanent renter class to populate their new apartments
YIMBY’s be like” we need to rapidly displace all low income and people of color from the city so we can replace their homes with new homes they can’t afford”

Save San Diego. Elect Bailey. It’s that simple. Crosby is just a continuation of Gloria’s failures.
“Nicole, you’ve been a tremendous partner for my administration.” - Todd Gloria The election for City Council D2 is a choice between more of the same policies and leadership that created the challenges facing San Diego or a new direction. Let’s choose a new direction and turn our city around.

Nominations for the 30th Annual SD Taxpayers Golden Fleece and Golden Watchdog Awards are open. There are plenty of potential nominees for the Golden Fleece Award: #NationalCity's counterproductive Cannabis Tax xitter.cf/sdcta/status/211363023… The City of #SanDiego mayor and council for failing rein in spending xitter.cf/sdcta/status/211291360… #SANDAG for failing to address ongoing accountability failures and management issues. xitter.cf/sdcta/status/211073709… docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F…
Another day, another failed tax increase in #SanDiego county. #NationalCity imposed a 5% tax on cannabis sales. The result: underperforming revenue as customers turn to black and gray markets. voiceofsandiego.org/2026/10/…

Tragically comedic that Gloria - who has made SD one of the least affordable cities in the US - would think to tell others how to be affordable.

We have a crisis in affordability. Neither NAVWAR OTC nor Midway Sinking will fix that. The YIMBY economics of densification on expensive dirt will always make the problem worse…unless your path to affordable housing is depopulation of San Diego.
San Diego is in a housing crisis. For years, I’ve said that the NAVWAR campus is one of our best chances to build affordable housing at scale. Last week I strongly, publicly opposed the plans for a data center here. It wastes a chance to provide more housing or something else that benefits the community.

Crosby just can’t help her hypocrisy. This just confirms that she would be just as bad as the current dysfunctional council members. Vote Richard Bailey for responsible, honest and accountable governance
UPDATE: Not only was Nicole “Nic” Crosby a proud member of the Lincoln Club, but in 2023 when her dues payment bounced she updated her credit card info to renew her membership. Now her campaign criticizes her opponent for being endorsed by them. Receipts!

Midway Sinking will be the biggest real estate scam in SD’s history. Gloria will do anything he can to close this increasingly worse deal to cement his political future and pay back his donor benefactors

Hypocrisy or just politics? Dem Nicole Crosby’s campaign has been hitting her opponent Richard Bailey bc the business-friendly Lincoln Club has endorsed him. But Crosby herself was a Lincoln Club member for 5 years until 2 months ago when she quit after paying $3,250 in dues.

At least he lives in the district.
Jim Desmond is flying around the district in a $300k plane.

He’s a multi-millionaire who isn’t going to stick up for the things hardworking families in CA-48 need.

I will be a voice for YOU in Washington.

Wait til he finds out about feudalism and serfs…
Yes, capitalism didn't invent work or wages but no, capitalism keeps wages LOW! What capitalism invented is a way to force work at low wages from the people by blocking our land access so we have no other way to live than to sell our labor and be market dependent for land access.

Who is surprised that San Diego received an F? Gloria- abetted by the council- is literally a failure. Vote them out!
Both the city of #SanDiego and #NationalCity received failing grades in the SD Taxpayers 2026 Municipal Report Cards. sdtaxpayers.org/in-the-news/… Only National City is currently taking meaningful steps to get spending under control. sandiegouniontribune.com/202…

False…and racist. No one should be forced out of the community they built and have lived in — sometimes for generations — to make way for some YIMBY elitist who has it as a mission to transform the working class neighborhood into their vision.

CA YIMBY doesn’t care that everything that it proposes makes housing more expensive as long as they get to shill for their Developer buddies interests
AB 2074, recently signed, requires seven large cities, including LA, SF, and San Diego, to allow housing up to at least 150 feet in transit hub districts, and 450 feet in at least a quarter of them.

Eliminate CARB. They are the greatest impediment to executing a program of controlled burns needed to effectively manage forests.
Wildfires have grown more intense and frequent because we’ve suppressed natural fires that removed smaller trees and vegetation that act as kindling for bigger, more devastating fires. We must pass my Fix Our Forests Act. nytimes.com/2026/10/13/clima…
