📢 @Sea2Land at RAMIRAN 2025: Benefits of BBFs despite yield penalties under future climate scenario
Our partners from Université de Liège (Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech), presented a poster at the RAMIRAN 2025 conference in Wageningen (Netherlands).
✅The presentation summarised the results of a novel experiment carried out at the TERRA‑Ecotron facility, where 4⃣different biobased fertilisers (#BBFs) were compared to a conventional synthetic fertiliser under both a reference climate and a future climate scenario.
✅Quality and safety assessment of bio-based fertilisers derived from fishery and aquaculture by-products.
🎯Objective: To ensure that the fertilisers produced in @Sea2Land are safe for the environment and human health and effective for agricultural use.

ALT Figure 1: Forge yield of alfalfa grown in Andisol soil and fertilized with 100 kg/ha of P2O5 using three BBFs derived from aquaculture wastes and two control treatments (No-P and inorganic-P). The inorganic –P was triple superphosphate and BBFs treatments were: Composted fish sludge (CFS), fish bone meal (FBM) and dried fish sludge (DFS). FY and PUE was measured in five harvests (H1 to H5)
