SECI Signs MoU with Ministry of Home Affairs to Accelerate Rooftop Solar Adoption Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India, on 23 October 2026 in New Delhi. Under the MoU, SECI will facilitate the installation of grid-connected rooftop solar PV power plants across MHA buildings nationwide under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, contributing to the adoption of clean energy in government infrastructure. Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) participated in the High-Level Dialogue on Gender-Responsive Standards: Safety for Everyone - Advancing Inclusive and Evidence-Based Standardization, organised by UL Standards & Engagement in New Delhi. Ms. Anita Mohan Goel, DGM (Power System), represented SECI as a panellist in the session 'Designing Standards that are Safe for Everyone'. During the discussion, she emphasised the importance of integrating inclusive safety practices into Renewable Energy projects, highlighting key considerations such as appropriately fitted personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe access arrangements for installation and maintenance activities. The dialogue also underscored the role of procurement requirements in strengthening workplace safety and the importance of incorporating women's on-ground experiences into technical decision-making and standards development to foster safer, more inclusive working environments.

SECI Signs Performance MoU with MNRE for FY 2026-27 Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI), a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), today signed its annual performance-based Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MNRE, Government of India, for the financial year 2026-27. Shri Santosh Kumar Sarangi, Secretary, MNRE, and Shri Joshit Sikidar, Director Finance, SECI, signed the MoU at Atal Akshay Urja Bhawan, New Delhi , in the presence of Senior officials of MNRE and SECI. Under the MoU, the Government of India has set SECI a Revenue from Operations target of ₹24,000 crore for FY 2026-27. The MoU also sets targets across other key performance parameters, including Trading of renewable energy, Administrative Ministry Priorities, Capital Expenditure, Project Execution, and Return on Net Worth. Shri Joshit Sikidar, Director Finance, SECI, expressed confidence in the company's growth trajectory. He said: "SECI remains committed to building on its strong performance record and to playing a leading role in the development of India's renewable energy sector. Alongside our core activities, we will continue to strengthen our presence in new and emerging areas in support of the nation's clean energy transition.”

India–Germany Cooperation on Green Hydrogen Takes a Step Forward Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) and Hintco GmbH have agreed on the key terms of a Framework Agreement for the preparation, development and implementation of a potential bilateral Indo-German H2Global Tender for the trading of Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin (RFNBOs). The Framework Agreement builds on the MoU signed between SECI and H2Global in November 2024 and subsequent discussions between the two organisations. Subject to requisite Government approvals, SECI and Hintco will undertake detailed preparations for the proposed joint tender in consultation with the respective Governments.
