We are heartbroken by the news of violence taking place in Israel. We mourn for all those whose lives were lost, pray for everyone who has been injured, and stand in solidarity with those who remain under attack.

Today is Lag BaOmer—usually a day of rejoicing. Instead, we find ourselves deeply saddened by the tragedy that occurred in Israel at the tomb of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai. Our hearts are with the families who lost loved ones and we send our prayers to all those who were injured.

If you associate Intl Womxn’s Day with BBG, put 7/14 (Non-Binary People’s Day) and 11/19 (Men’s Day) in your calendar- it’s past time we stop assuming all BBGs identify as girls! Non-binary folks and trans men are, have been & will be BBGs so long as this structure exists.

During IC I have attended programs hosted by BOTH Keshet organizations, each one focused on LGBTQ+ or disability inclusion. It’s been wonderful to see inclusion efforts headed by teens right here in BBYO, whether they are allies or directly affected by the changes being made.
