Here are a few reasons why @SEWH is so special:
- They are the only wildlife hospital in Essex 🏥
- One of the only wildlife hospitals in the UK with a live-in vet 🩺
- They rescue all kinds of animals from ducks and hedgehogs up to horses and seals 🦆🐴🦔

We have helped fund a new rescue and rehabilitation facility for sick and injured seals found off the coasts of Essex and Kent.
Our commitment will help @SEWH fund the facility’s operations over the next 3 years and raise awareness of the importance of marine conservation.

After raising funds for these, 10 more trees were planted today. Such a satisfying way to spend the morning in partnership with @BasildonCouncil
Bees already at the blossom before they were in the ground!

@BorisJohnson @pritipatel @benwallacemp @carrielbjohnson @ConservativeAWF I don’t know who this special advisor to the defence secretary is but he’s got it so wrong. Pulling off #OperationArk will be a massive pr win for your government which needs any win it can get right now

Quite an eventful week, one of the Beckton Kestrel juvs grounded, with help from Thames Water staff, got him back up to roof. Juv Peregrine female from @SEWH released back also, good release by others with adult Falcon seeing it immediately.

We’re very sad to hear the news about Freddie the seal. Our fire boat crews worked with partners to rescue Freddie after he was injured by a dog near #Hammersmith Bridge. He was taken to be treated at @SEWH but sadly, his injuries were too severe © @SEWH

With our young #fox cub becoming very lonely and South Essex Wildlife Hospital recently admitting two cubs around the same age, we decided to bring them together. Fox cubs need to be around others of their kind, in order to learn the natural behaviours needed for the wild.
