Flight Attendant: “Excuse me, would you be willing to switch seats?”
Me: “Why?”
Flight Attendant: “The passenger beside you is a VIP. He’d prefer the window.”
Me: “Then he can ask me himself.”
She forced a smile, but something about her expression felt wrong.
Flight Attendant: “Please. It would make things easier for everyone.”
Me: “I paid for this seat. I’m not moving.”
She stared at my boarding pass for a few seconds.
Then she leaned down and whispered, “You really don’t want to be sitting here when we land.”
I laughed. “Is that supposed to scare me?”
She walked away without answering.
