Convent at East Grinstead. That takes me back. Went there for a pre-ACAM retreat over 30 years ago. Encountered SSM in most of the parishes. One of the Sisters lives in the same warden controlled flats in Uckfield.

I wish there was a way to convey to the world that, as powerful as they are, the gangs of Haiti do not represent the country’s true face & never have. When you’ve traveled the length & breadth of the nation, you realize there is so much more to Haiti than scenes of urban violence

Weather delays have interrupted my travel today. But I have had the most amazing time at a bar with people I have never met. All of whom have been in this airport for almost 8 hours. We are better than our politics. Close to the ground we can be decent and joyful…together.

Things that bring me joy today. These little Victorian posy vases came from the Convent at East Grinstead where they often decorated the altar screen with Marguerites on St Margaret’s day. @SistersOfStMarg @SKFSSM @AdelemarieRyan @sarahrandallssm @ssmwalsingham

I love the starkness of the church after the liturgy when the church is bare.

Idk why this country insists on caucusing in Iowa where a conman who couldn’t read music famously convinced an entire town to purchase instruments for his non-existent boy band just by talking fast and citing an absurd number of trombones.

To clasp the hands in prayer is the beginning of an uprising against the disorder of the world.

We know the weather outside has been frightful but this hymn festival with the Rev. Dr. Carl Daw is always delightful! So be sure to give yourself plenty of time to get to the Chapel on Sunday. Our outdoor lights are still up to welcome you. It'll be lovely. All we need is YOU.
