SLOPD & @slocityfd responded to a vegetation fire Monday at 6pm near the Tesla chargers (200 block Madonna Rd).

This morning at around 11:30am, an elderly driver mistook the gas pedal for the brake and drove into the front of 799 Foothill. Luckily, no one was injured and DUI is not suspected.

This morning around 10:20 am, Motor Ofc. Parsons stopped a driver on Madonna Rd. who was texting while driving and issued him a citation for CVC 23123.5.
The driver also had an open container on the floorboard of the car & was arrested after blowing a .197.

1/2 On Saturday afternoon at approximately 3pm, a 62 year old woman was struck by a car in the parking lot of the Conserv Fuel on Santa Rosa Street and the driver fled the scene.@slocityfd responded to provide care & she was transported to a local hospital for moderate injuries.
@chp_slo_official quickly located the driver on n/b Hwy. 101. The driver, 36 year old Joseph Perez of Paso Robles, was arrested & booked for felony hit & run, a probation violation & misdemeanor driving on a suspended license. Drugs/alcohol were not a factor.

The is an active fire burning on th Cuesta Grade between SLO & Santa Margarita, several lanes of traffic have closed. It is advised that travelers use alt routes to access n. county, Hwy 41 & Hwy 46.

There is a temporary road closure due to a two vehicle collision on Foothill Blvd.
Eastbound Foothill is closed between California and Santa Rosa. There is no access to Foothill off of Casa.
