Hello👋 I'm @AliceHowellsSLT and I’m excited to be taking over the SLT Twitter this afternoon!
I am a SLT student @CityLCS and this is my last day on the acute stroke ward. I will be reflecting on how I found it and what I learnt... 🧵
One opportunity I was lucky enough to take advantage of was joining the team for a London Air Ambulance Charity talk to learn about the amazing job they do supporting patients both in an emergency and the wellbeing support they provide afterwards🚁Complete with helipad tour!
A huge thank you to the acute stroke team @RoyalLondonHosp for an amazing first placement!
I've learnt so much about how support stroke patients and those around them, with transferable skills for future placements.
(Also grateful for the amazing London view from the ward!)
