Excited for the Wefel Center/Law Journal symposium next Friday at Saint Louis University School of Law. It's going to be a terrific day!
Prof. Duff in today's WSJ organizing Tesla, calls worker organizers, "‘heroes” b/c “They stood up knowing that a likely course of events was going to be that they would be harassed, coerced, intimidated and, perhaps, discharged at the end of the day.”

Our students do cool things!
This year's PBF Fellow from @SLULAW spent several years working in the food service industry before pursuing his J.D. to advocate on behalf of workers. He brought his first-hand experience to a fellowship with Hammond & Shinners. We can't wait to see what he'll do next!

ALT Brady Root '23 is a fellow at Hammond & Shinners. As a young adult, Brady worked several food service jobs where he saw the routine indignities and struggles faced by low-wage workers. He later became a proud member of Teamsters Local 117, which guaranteed him the stability needed to live and complete a technical degree. In addition to labor, Brady has a passion for immigrants’ rights; he has volunteered with The Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (RAICES) and helped bring lawyers from the organization to speak to students interested in pursuing legal careers.
