What is it that @AlexHormozi says about how it's easy to be successful because the bar for mediocrity is so low?
I've been looking for land to buy & this was a real exchange on a cold lead (me). This moron replied like its 2021 and the land is going to sell this weekend 🙄

Bankruptcy,This isn’t fun, Let’s give away some roofs
In February I hit a pretty significant wall, We were 17 months into business
Insurance owed us over 500k, Employees that had been with us since the beginning needed to be fired, and I was literally thinking about bankruptcy every single day
Sweeping changes were needed:
- I fired 25% of our staff
- We changed CRMs
-I became obsessed with operations (despite being a sales guy)
And over the last 7 months things have gotten a little better
Bankruptcy is no longer a daily thought
Operations have made a lot of progress (still a long way to go)
But the reality is despite things getting better I’m not and I haven’t been having fun for months
Entrepreneurship is hard
Almost all my time is going towards things I don’t enjoy
That’s just what this season requires
But if I have another 6 months of operations hell with no other outlet I know I’m not going to make it
So we’re going to start giving roofs away to people who need it
Our goal is to try and do this every week
When I started this business I wanted to do something that I felt like had lasting impact
This is my way of ensuring that happens
I wish I could say we have everything figured out and it’ll be smooth sailing from here
But that’s just not the reality of Entrepreneurship, or if it is I haven’t figured it out
We are just going to keep doing the right things, putting one foot in front of the other, and hopefully we will get there

Bluffing is all representing a hand or range of hands that makes sense in the context of how the entire hand has been played.
This hand I played deep in the 2008 WSOP Main Event vs Brandon Cantu is a good example of that.
youtu.be/qT7sqJgq850?si=Zqfw…
The TV coverage starts after the flop but pre-flop action went: UTG player raised and Brandon Cantu called from UTG+1, I reraised from the button, the original raiser folded and Cantu called again.
Cantu was playing extremely aggressively. The range of hands that he calls an UTG raise with and then calls a button raise with is extremely narrow and mostly middle pocket pairs.
He was incapable of checking the flop and then checking the turn with a strong hand so when he checks the turn I know he doesn't have 55, 66 or JJ.
Knowing this, my bet sizing of 1/10th pot was designed to induce him to try to make a bluff.
I've already decided on the turn that I'm calling a river shove which is why I was able to snap-call his river bet.
In the context of the hand (checking flop and checking turn) Brandon's play makes no sense for any hand that beats me which is why I was able to pick off his bluff.

The only reason I’m still with AT&T business is because @SMBTelecomGuy does the dirty work for me when I need something with them.
They drive me crazy and are so unhelpful! He always fixes it in 5 minutes.

With Father's Day coming up I'm reminded how cool my Dad is.
He was an ops guy for AA for ~30 years. Lots of crazy stories.
Here he is on the cover of Time Magazine.
He was also the manager on duty during 9/11 and testified/is quoted in the 9/11 Commission Report.

💡Me: “We should simulcast all the launches from the San Antonio kickoff location…. “
Team: “We can’t. The kickoff is the top floor of an unfinished suite. There is no internet”
@SMBTelecomGuy hang on, I got this 💪
And he did.
No lag, flawless execution across 5 campuses.

Last year, I hit a wall.
My body told me to stop, even while my business was doing fine.
Doctors think it’s MS. I had to slow everything down, even the work I loved most.
I’m doing much better now.
Energy’s back. Focus is back. And I’m building again.

I’m still not 100% sure what @SMBTelecomGuy does but he’s the one we call anytime we need phones or internet for the office or something happens with my phone.
He’s “my guy” for phone and internet stuff. He has saved me a ton of money and I haven’t had to call AT&T since we met.
Just wanted to make sure you all knew he was the real deal if you need “a guy” for that kind of stuff.
It’s like having a concierge for messing with all that. It’s great.

Warning: Telecom🤓 Post (I haven't done one of these in a while)
The FAA is reportedly looking at dropping Verizon for Starlink to handle their network modernization project, FENS.
I don't understand how this could possibly save the government money.
For context, I spent years working in the wholesale telecom space as a senior engineer and now run a telecom consulting business.
The FAA has 4600 sites on a primarily TDM network (think copper T1s).
These are dedicated connections with 99.999% uptime service-level agreements.
Telecom carriers have been phasing this technology out for the last decade and replacing it with fiber because copper networks are expensive and challenging to maintain.
Obviously if we're talking about network connectivity for air traffic control systems, reliability is the #1 concern.
Starlink service cannot offer the reliability needed on their native service as it is impacted by factors such as weather conditions.
Fiber is the only medium this network can be built on to provide the reliability needed.
In order to deploy a fiber-based network for the FAA, Starlink is going to have to purchase 100% of those network facilities from other carriers as they own zero route-miles of fiber.
Carriers buying from each other in the wholesale telco space is totally normal.
If a Verizon customer has a location in an area where Lumen owns the fiber, they'll pay Lumen to provide a connection from that location to the Verizon infrastructure.
This drives up your cost for that connection substantially however as Verizon is buying and reselling Lumen's service and they both want to make a profit.
This is why you've seen T-mobile go out recently and acquire fiber companies Metronet and Lumos.
Until recently, they had to buy 100% of the fiber connectivity for their 80k towers from other carriers.
Verizon and AT&T own the largest fiber networks in the country that consists of millions of route miles which allows them to connect their towers to fiber at a much lower cost.
Starlink is going to have to go out and purchase to resell 100% of the network connections needed for this solution from other carriers.
They'll likely layer on their native service LEO satellite service for additional reliability but there is no way they can avoid purchasing a MASSIVE amount of network services from other carriers.
I don't see how this can possibly result in a lower cost and better outcome for the FAA.
TDLR: Starlink will have to buy and resell fiber for nearly all of these sites which will almost certainly result in a higher cost/worse outcome to the FAA.

Third world countries don’t have 50 sovereign states running elections. Don’t fall for this.
The vast majority of poll workers and election workers are fastidious at their jobs. Election counts can often be watched by the public (you can in Texas!)
Some states aren’t allowed to count mail-in & provisional ballots until Election Day.
Our system experiences very minimal fraud. Triple check your sources before believing people who tell you the election was “stolen.”
No matter who you vote for, this is important to the integrity of our elections. 🇺🇸
