Not just for women, it's for everyone. Having an accessible buffer should be step one in everyone's financial planning. Money should be about providing choice and security. Remember life is not about accumulating money, rather having money is about facilitating choices in life.

This is not a reasonable stand point. A considerable portion of hospitality and other retail still relies heavily on cash. To suggest dishonesty is endemic amongst this cohort of business people is deplorable. Perhaps reflection and an apology is needed here.

That's a fair, if loaded question... if you tow a trailer, carry tools or cover large distances then a bike is of little use. Cycling is great for urban people doing urban things in a personal capacity but of limited use for everyone else.

More than 83% of wealth in Ireland was owned by 45+ age group in 2013 (last full survey on wealth distribution).
One third owned by 65+ cohort.
56% may be covered but how many of these are making adequate provision let alone maximising efficiency?
56% of persons in employment have pension coverage

Ireland's massive redistribution via taxes and welfare nicely illustrated here.
Reminds me that I've been meaning to looking into why Irish pre-redistribution income inequality is so high. Don't think anyone has published on it, but please reply with links if work exists.

This is unwarranted market interference by burocrats who will remain bilssfully unaffected by the change they are visiting on the business people of Ireland who are ultimately paying for their gold plated defined benefit pensions. Ohhh if the shoe could be put on the other foot!
