We have an aging population. Demographics are bad. America cannot grow w/out immigration. More productivity via squeezing workers harder & tech advances is their answer but growth is doomed without the immigration. Period.
MaGa is a short sighted cult.

The future of #ArtificialIntelligence is not pre-determined. As a technology developed by human beings, its future depends on the choices we make. We therefore have the responsibility to guide, change and, when necessary, reject its applications. A reliable system that serves the human person is of greater value than one that is exceptionally powerful but whose consequences cannot be adequately foreseen or controlled.

🚨BREAKING: Federal Court ORDERS DOJ and DHS to identify, by noon tomorrow, every state they’ve sent demands to remove alleged non-citizens from the rolls, withhold mail ballots, or segregate ballots.
A victory for DSCC, DCCC, DGA and the Nevada Democratic Party!
Remember our @NYPD73Pct brother, P.O. James Whittington, who made the ultimate sacrifice on this day in 1982 after he was fatally shot while taking off-duty action to arrest an armed individual in Brooklyn. He is never forgotten. #FidelisAdMortem

🚨🚨HEARTWARMING UPDATE🚨🚨
Former #NFL defensive end Devon Still broke down in tears after seeing his daughter Leah working her FIRST JOB at Chick-fil-A this week.
Leah was diagnosed with cancer as a young child and underwent chemotherapy. During her treatments, she rarely wanted to eat anything unless it was Chick-fil-A.
Now, 12 years later, Leah is cancer-free and has started her first job at the very restaurant that helped her get through those difficult days.
Devon shared that he pulled up to pick her up from work and saw her helping a customer. He immediately became emotional.
“Now I’m sitting in the car with tears pouring down my face.”
Still also revealed that doctors once told him how far Leah’s cancer had spread, and he began accepting the possibility that she might not survive.
“To go from that to this, I can’t explain what I’m feeling. Just know I’m grateful.”
Leah still orders the exact same Chick-fil-A meal she loved during chemotherapy.
THIS IS WHAT LIFE IS ALL ABOUT.

Gospel of the Day (Luke 14,1-6)
On a sabbath Jesus went to dine at the home of one of the leading Pharisees, and the people there were observing him carefully.
In front of him there was a man suffering from dropsy.
Jesus spoke to the scholars of the law and Pharisees in reply, asking, "Is it lawful to cure on the sabbath or not?"
But they kept silent; so he took the man and, after he had healed him, dismissed him.
Then he said to them, "Who among you, if your son or ox falls into a cistern, would not immediately pull him out on the sabbath day?"
But they were unable to answer his question.

NEW: Pope Leo XIV is set to become the first sitting pontiff in the Catholic Church’s two-thousand-year history to vote in a secular election.
Leo requested an Illinois mail ballot on Oct. 3, and it was sent to his brother John’s home in New Lenox, Ill.
John Prevost visited the pope at the Vatican on Wednesday and may now be carrying the ballot back to the Will County clerk by hand. thelettersfromleo.com/p/pope…

Patrick was one of those icons who we somehow all took for granted would always be with us.
I grew up as a fan, and was later gifted the privilege of becoming a colleague and friend, working with him for many years on “American Dad!”, “Family Guy”, and “Ted”. He was that rare actor who could take any bit of dialogue and elevate it, making a good writer sound great, and a great writer sound masterful. He was also as humble as they come. I remember exchanging emails with him a number of years ago when he was beginning day 1 of a new film. He commented to me that he always walked onto a new set feeling like the biggest novice there. My stunned reaction was the same as anyone’s would be. I said, “Patrick, if you feel that way, the rest of us are screwed.” We have lost a legendary actor today, and for many of us, a good friend. He will be deeply missed by the entire planet.

92 days straight now, no breaks, no replacements, fighting teenage fanatics from the 21st Panzer Division in icy rain, and the casualty list grows each day, and you're the one compiling it.
Do they make them like this any more? Captain Anse Speairs, 157th Inf. Reg. Four amphibious invasions, over 500 days in combat WW2, liberated Dachau, served in Korea and Vietnam. One of greatest men I've ever known. Passed age 95, 2013. Photo by John Snowdon.
