Where was the ambition for Wales in this budget? No attempt to right past wrongs, no real cost-of-living support, and no fair deal for our nation. Despite big promises, it seems that while the faces in Downing Street may have changed, the Treasury's approach to Wales has not.

Michael Marra ridiculed the SNP tax cut for being 'tiny' in January this year. Maybe BBC Scotland and STV can ask him if he holds the same scorn for Burnham's 'tiny' 40p a week households will save as a result of tariffs being removed from marmalade and gherkins etc.

Here's what is wrong with this headline. Labour made an announcement for England that results in consequentials for Scotland. The headline should merely have reflected that fact. The BBC didn't do this. Instead BBC Scotland opted to *assist* Labour. The station immediately turned an England only announcement into pressure by Labour on the SNP. The BBC has thus favoured Labour instead of merely reporting the facts.

Andy Burnham’s promise to deliver growth in every postcode doesn’t extend to Speyside.
Confirmed: Duty on #ScotchWhisky and other spirits will increase by 4.55% in February 2027 - a massive increase which now takes the total tax increase to 24% over the last four years.

Labour promised £14 billion for Welsh rail in February. All we got today was a recycled announcement of £30 million towards Cardiff Parkway Station. This isn't the step change we were promised by Burnham and it doesn't match the needs of the people of Wales.

Labour's plan to remove tariffs from 100 food items could save households up to 40p a week. In January Michael Marra ridiculed the SNP's tax change because it only gave people an extra 70p a week. He said: 'You couldn’t buy a Mars bar for that". archive.is/2llN1

Andy Burnham promised growth in every postcode by moving power away from Westminster. But small, rehashed tweaks won’t cut it. The PM must match the ambition of the people of Wales and give our nation the same economic powers as Scotland so our communities can prosper.

Labour promised £200m to Grangemouth. The refinery got nothing. The b4stards have now done the same with Acorn. £200m was promised.
Scotland's carbon capture projects ignored again by a Labour Govt. Unlike projects south of the border, Scotland's Acorn project missed out on a confirmed funding commitment. Twenty years of Labour carbon capture betrayal started by Gordon Brown back in 2007.
