Under the patronage of His Excellency, Chairman of the Karak Governorate Council, Dr. Abdullah Al-Abbadlah, a local dialogue session was held in #Karak , Jordan on Wednesday, 30 April 2025, as part of the third national awareness campaign, “Her Life Without Violence, Her Future Without Fear.” The campaign is being delivered under the framework of the project “Improving Access to Comprehensive Gender-Based Violence Services in Jordan,” funded by the European Union and implemented by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and all partner organisations. The session witnessed active participation from local community members and representatives of partner institutions. It aimed to strengthen prevention efforts and expand the scope of support available to survivors. Discussions focused on raising awareness of the importance of preventing violence against women and girls, highlighting the services available, and empowering survivors to seek support safely and confidently. This dialogue in Karak marked the final session in a series of community dialogues held under the campaign, following previous sessions in #Irbid and #Zarqa, as part of wider national efforts to build a safe, supportive, and inclusive society that firmly rejects all forms of violence against women and girls. عُقدت جلسة حوار مجتمعي حول مكافحة العنف ضد النساء والفتيات يوم الإثنين الموافق 14 نيسان/أبريل 2025 في مدينة #إربد ، #الأردن. جاء هذا الحور في إطار الحملة الوطنية التوعوية الثالثة "حياتها بلا عنف، مستقبها بلا خوف"، والتي تنفذ كجزء من الحملة الوطنية الممتدة لثلاث سنوات تحت شعار "لا صمت، لا تسامح" لمكافحة العنف ضد النساء والفتيات، والتي تقودها المبادرة النسوية الأورومتوسطية (EFI)، ضمن إطار مشروع "تحسين الوصول إلى الخدمات الشاملة المتعلقة بالعنف المبني على النوع الاجتماعي في الأردن"، الممول من الاتحاد الأوروبي ((EU وبتنفيذ من قبل الوكالة الإسبانية للتعاون الإنمائي الدولي (AECID) وبالتعاون مع صندوق الأمم المتحدة للسكان (UNFPA)، وجميع المنظمات الشريكة في المشروع: المجلس الوطني لشؤون الأسرة (NCFA)، معهد العناية بصحة الأسرة (IFH)، مركز العدل للمساعدة القانونية (JCLA)، جمعية قرى الأطفال SOS في الأردن، مركز المعلومات والبحوث - مؤسسة الملك حسين (IRC-KHF)، جمعية سيدات الطفيلة (TWCS)، جمعية النساء العربيات (AWO)، ومركز التوعية والإرشاد الأسري/جمعية ربات البيوت الزرقاء (FGAC). نُظم هذا الحوار المجتمعي بهدف خلق مساحة مفتوحة وشاملة تجمع بين أفراد المجتمع المحلي وقياداته، ومقدمي الخدمات، ومؤسسات المجتمع المدني، للمشاركة في نقاشات بنّاءة حول سبل الوقاية من العنف وتعزيز الخدمات المرتكزة على الناجيات في جميع أنحاء الأردن. كما شكّل منصة لتعزيز الجهود المجتمعية الاستباقية، وزيادة الوعي حول الخدمات الأساسية المتوفرة للناجيات من العنف القائم على النوع الاجتماعي، باعتبارها من الأدوات المحورية في منع العنف ضد النساء والفتيات. لمعرفة المزيد، تفضلوا بزيارة الرابط التالي: efi-ife.org/ar/events/local-… A local dialogue on combating violence against women and girls (VAWG) was held on Monday, 14th April 2025, in #Irbid, #Jordan. It took place in the frame of the third awareness campaign “Her Life Without Violence, Her Future Without Fear” which is a part of the three years national campaign “No Silence, No Tolerance” carried out by EuroMed Feminist Initiative (EFI), Justice Centre for Legal Aid (JCLA), Children Villages SOS, Institute for Family Health (IFH), and the National Council of Family Affairs (NCFA), Information and Research Center - King Hussein Foundation (IRC-KHF), Tafila Women's Society (TWCS), Arab Women Organization of Jordan (AWO), and Family Guidance Awareness Center (FGAC) in the framework of the project "Improving Access to Comprehensive Gender-based Violence Services in Jordan” funded by the European Union (EU) MADAD Trust Fund and implemented by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), with the collaboration of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). The local dialogue, organised by the EuroMed Feminist Initiative (EFI), aimed to create open and inclusive space for community members and leaders, service providers, and civil society to come together and engage in meaningful discussions on preventing violence and promoting survivor-centered services across Jordan. It served as a platform to foster proactive community efforts and raise awareness about the availability of essential services for survivors of gender-based violence as one of the means to prevent violence against women and girls.
