This year should have awakened you
You should now be able to see the game being played right in front of our eyes. How they control our minds
You should be able to see what’s
- hurting you or helping you
- killing you or making you stronger
(1/2)
Be intentional in every aspect of your life
Its not lame or corny
Knowing what you want, and seeking that. Creating boundaries and respecting them
Controlling where your energy goes, & allotting your energy and time
(relationships, friends, family, hobbies, interests, etc.)

Music has lost one of its modern soul architects.
Michael Eugene Archer, better known as D’Angelo, the soul revolutionary, has reportedly passed away at 51 after a private battle with pancreatic cancer.
From Brown Sugar to Voodoo to Black Messiah, his music didn’t just move us, it ministered to us. His genius was fluid, gospel rooted, funk-soaked. It reminded the world that the Black soul is both divine and dangerous. And though the mic may fall silent, the echo still remains, humming the divine.
Rest in power.

RIP D’Angelo, don’t even know what to say. Three timeless albums, each one an incredible expansion of his sound—a peerless, flawless discography. It wouldn’t even be crazy to say he released the best album of the 90s, the 2000s, and the 2010s. One of our greatest artists.

People need reflection.
I regret not having more time with you. Your undeniable beauty and talent were not of this world, and a presence not of this world needs protection in a world that covets light and the anointing of God. You sir, moved us, stirred us, inspired and even intimidated others to action with your genius. Thank you for being a beacon of light to a generation and beyond who had no remembrance of the legacy that preceded us. Thank you for charting the course and for making space during a time when no similar space really existed.
You imaged a unity of strength and sensitivity in Black manhood to a generation that only saw itself as having to be one or the other. It is my earnest prayer that you are in peace, far away from selfishness, fear and/or controlling interests. Far from possessiveness, far from greed, far from manipulation, far from exploitation, far from intentionally designed chaos and that you Brother are in peace, in bliss and in eternal light and fulfillment with our Father in heaven. I Love you and I miss you. May God grant peace and shelter to your family, true friends and genuine appreciators, Brother, King.
In The Name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Merciful.
