S1 were loving lunchtime at the library today and I was living for the hustle and bustle of it all! 🥳 Except for these two... Who were chilling by our new affirmation wall, reading some new graphic novels. 📚 Hands up if you're buzzing to be back in the library! 🙌🏼🥳📖

Last week, I visited some P7 classes to share the buzz about the high school library and the role we play within the school community. 📚🐝. They loved testing out our new #storydeck cards from @scottishbktrust! 🫶🏼 @OLOLPrimaryWDC @OHRPrimary @StJosephsWDC @StMarysPS_ELCC

WORLD BOOK DAY 2025 📚💛 Welcome to our Book Choice Bistro! 📚😋 S1 had a blast 'tasting' some books in different genres and reviewing them this week. Now they have the confidence to choose books without the overwhelm! Woohoo! @SPTA_HS @wdclibraries @WorldBookDayUK

Anyone else a sucker for soft lighting? ✨ You asked... we listened! In our 2024 student library questionnaire many pupils said they would be more likely to visit the library after school if there was a more calming atmosphere to study in. Say no more!! I'm HERE for it! 📚🥰

Our senior pupils had a ‘Pyjamas Day’ yesterday where they raised £243.50! As a group they decided to donate this money to Saint Margaret’s Hospice and a group of pupils visited the Hospice this afternoon to pass the cheque on. Well done to all involved 👏🌟💜

School libraries play a significant role in education – raising attainment, providing access to books and resources, improving critical thinking and fighting misinformation, creating an inclusive and safe space and improving environmental literacy. cilips.org.uk/
