Arguably the most important project in the history of exercise science thus far. Equally enlightening is the accompanying "Reflections" paper. This conversation is long overdue. Congrats to @JennyMurphy2 for this incredible achievement and to @SportsMedicineJ for publishing these papers.

1. Daily Step Count
Walking at least 7000 steps per day is associated with half the risk of dying from any cause over a ten-year time frame.
This is a huge deal.
There are very few, if any, things in medicine that are associated with that magnitude of benefit.

As of today, Paris has banned thru-traffic in the center of the city.
Cars owned by central zone residents/workers/visitors are still OK -- but no thru-traffic.
Motor vehicle counts are expected to decline up to 30%.
