My 2 cents, switching tables can be a nightmare if fks or the table is too hot. Inserts>small batches Del/upds>small batches pre calculating changes if possible & accessing the table using the Pk

Some Aws instances come with huge nvme (2tb) but only 64gb ram. It's temporary storage so no dbs can be placed there. We use it for tempdb. Thought about BPE but it's not recommended having both in the same drive.
