SRM University-APโs debut in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027, securing a place in the ๐ญ๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ญโ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฌ band, marks an important milestone in the Universityโs pursuit of global academic excellence and institutional quality.
Sharing his perspective on this achievement, ๐๐ฟ ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ธ ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ท๐ฒ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป, Associate Dean โ Quality Assurance and Rankings (QAR), SRM University-AP, says:
โParticipating in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings for the first time and entering the 1001โ1200 band is a significant milestone for SRM University-AP. For us, the importance of this achievement goes beyond the ranking position itself. A global ranking framework gives a young institution an opportunity to understand where it stands against established international benchmarks and, equally importantly, where it needs to improve. Our strong performance in International Outlook, with a score of 58.5 and a fifth-place position in India on this indicator, is particularly encouraging and reflects the Universityโs growing global engagement. The first submission has also helped us strengthen our understanding of institutional data, quality processes and global benchmarking. We will use this experience as a baseline to continuously improve, measure our progress objectively and build an institution that is recognised for sustained excellence rather than a single ranking outcome.โ
A milestone that establishes a foundation for continuous improvement, reinforcing SRM University-APโs commitment to international benchmarks and sustained institutional excellence.

SRM University-APโs debut in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027 reflects the Universityโs growing research capabilities and its commitment to advancing scholarly excellence on a global platform.
Sharing his perspective on this significant achievement, Prof. Ranjit Thapa, Dean-Research, SRM University-AP, says:
โResearch has always been central to the identity we are building at SRM University-AP. The Universityโs debut in the THE World University Rankings 2027 is particularly significant from a research perspective because it provides an international measure of how our scholarly work is being recognised and reaching the wider academic community. Over the years, we have invested in strengthening our research ecosystem, encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration, supporting emerging areas of science and technology, and creating opportunities for faculty and students to engage with important research questions. Our Research Quality score of 55.4 is a positive indication of the growing visibility and influence of this work. At the same time, we recognise that a ranking is only one measure of progress. Our larger ambition is to develop research that is original, relevant and impactful, and to establish SRM University-AP as a credible destination for high-quality research and innovation.โ
A recognition of the research ecosystem taking shape at SRM University-AP and the University's continued pursuit of meaningful contributions to global knowledge and innovation.

SRM University-APโs entry into the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027 marks a significant milestone in its academic journey, reflecting the growing strength of its interdisciplinary research ecosystem and its commitment to excellence in engineering and sciences.
Sharing his perspective on this achievement, Prof. C. V. Tomy, Dean, School of Engineering and Sciences, SRM University-AP, says:
โFor a young university, meaningful recognition comes when the quality of academic work begins to travel beyond the campus and finds a place in the wider scholarly community. SRM University-APโs entry into the THE World University Rankings is an important reflection of that journey. The School of Engineering and Sciences has been an integral part of this growth, with our faculty and students working across emerging areas of engineering, science and technology while maintaining a strong emphasis on fundamentals. Our research ecosystem is increasingly interdisciplinary, bringing together different domains to address contemporary challenges. The Universityโs performance in Research Quality is especially encouraging because it speaks to the reach and influence of the work being undertaken here. This achievement strengthens our resolve to create an academic environment where curiosity leads to rigorous research, innovation and solutions that have relevance well beyond the University.โ
A recognition that reinforces the University's commitment to academic rigour and research that contributes meaningfully to the wider scientific community.

A new milestone in SRM University-APโs journey towards building a globally recognised institution.
SRM University-APโs debut in the THE World University Rankings 2027 marks a significant step in the Universityโs growing global journey.
Sharing his perspective on this recognition, Dr. Vinayak Kalluri, Registrar, SRM University-AP, says:
โAn institutionโs standing is ultimately built through the strength of its academic systems, the quality of its people and the consistency with which it pursues its goals. SRM University-APโs debut in the THE World University Rankings 2027 is therefore a significant institutional milestone. In less than ten years, the University has developed the academic and administrative foundations needed to compete on a global benchmarking platform. This recognition reflects the collective effort of our faculty, researchers, students and professional teams who have contributed to building a culture of quality and accountability. It is particularly encouraging to see the University perform strongly on indicators such as International Outlook and Research Quality. As we move forward, our focus will remain on strengthening academic processes, supporting excellence across our schools and creating an institutional ecosystem that enables SRM University-AP to grow with purpose and credibility.โ
This recognition reflects the collective effort behind SRM University-APโs growth and strengthens our commitment to continued academic excellence, research quality and global engagement.

SRM University-APโs entry into the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027, within the first decade of its establishment, marks an encouraging milestone in the Universityโs journey.
Sharing his perspective on this achievement, Dr. P. Sathyanarayanan, Pro-Chancellor, SRM University-AP, says:
โSince its inception, SRM University-AP has pursued a clear ambition: to build an institution that combines academic excellence with a strong research culture and a global outlook. Our entry into the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027, within the first decade of our establishment, is an encouraging milestone in that journey. It reflects the collective efforts of our faculty, researchers, students and staff, and the academic environment we have worked steadily to create. What is particularly gratifying is that our performance in International Outlook and Research Quality signals our growing engagement with the global academic community. We are conscious, however, that building a university of lasting distinction requires sustained effort, patience and a willingness to keep raising our standards. We will continue to invest in research, nurture talent and forge meaningful international collaborations, with the ambition of making SRM University-AP a recognised centre for knowledge creation and academic leadership.โ
A milestone that celebrates how far we have come and the ambition that continues to drive what comes next.
