Here’s an early day discovery for our former MA student who moved on to marvellous things (partly through doctoral study) with the irrepressible Jan Fabre. @SSolakidi is not remotely unaware of the complexities that come with Fabre’s work, a hard oeuvre that influenced me deeply.
I participate with an essay on Jan Fabre’s work and cancel culture

Every evening I watch the sunset
How the sky becomes total red
How the sky becomes yours
(we are together during the sunset)
The proofs arrived today
Even the title is not correct
How many times should I explain that hyphens are not there for fun and that enters were not pressed by mistake...
My piece has a face that I barely recognize
She watched the show yesterday in Amsterdam
I will watch it in two days in London

Love - but without happiness
Each move becomes painful as its rejection is certain from the beginning
Some (ridiculous) hope and
despair when rejection becomes a fact again

I am attending the lecture of an amazingly bad speaker - very famous philospher, Professor, talks about trans and race and ... she is TERRIBLE
I am wondering: does she know how ridiculous she is?
