SHORT MEANING
This verse records Kohath's four sons: Amram, Izhar, Hebron and Uzziel. It also tells us that Kohath lived 133 years. These names establish another family line within the tribe of Levi, including Amram, who would become the father of Moses and Aaron. Scripture carefully preserves the ancestry of those through whom the LORD's work of deliverance would unfold.
