Stopped by Saw's BBQ before leaving Birmingham I've had some loaded baked potatoes before. This is the best one I've ever had.

What I can't get over about yesterday's finish is how seemingly impossible it was for Kyle Larson to win coming off Turn 4, let alone down the backstretch. This is how legends are written and this deserves to get talked about the way Dale Earnhardt's comeback in the 2000 Winston 500 is.
WHERE DID HE COME FROM?!?! @KyleLarsonRacin goes from 11th to first to score the victory at @TALLADEGA!

With respect to Riley Herbst, I went and clipped the 35 team radio after his horrible impact. You can hear the immediate concern they had for Riley and they were also dissatisfied with NASCAR's response time as safety workers attended to Joey Logano's upside down car. Riley had his left arm wrapped after the race but told USA that he was OK.

Went and checked Brad Keselowski's onboard to review the response time from the AMR Safety Team to Riley Herbst - There's about 50 seconds between when I see the first safety vehicles deploy from the left to when I see a safety worker run over to Riley's car. So Riley had help within one minute of deployment. Bear in mind that I can't see if any other safety vehicles/workers came from the opposite end but I figured I should give this a second look in fairness to everyone involved.

Kyle Larson aces his post-race celebration, with son Owen standing up out of the roof with the checkered flag saluting the crowd Lots of drivers stop to congratulate Larson after his first Superspeedway win. As does Jeff Gordon.

Onboard view as Joey Logano goes from battling for the win to upside down in the closing laps at Talladega. Kudos to Joey's spotter, Coleman Pressley, for thinking quickly to tell his driver that he wasn't in danger of being hit by any other cars as he slid on his roof.

Went back and watched Ross Chastain's onboard and it went down exactly like he told me it did. Spotter Brandon McReynolds told Chastain to push Kyle Larson as he went into the blinding sun. "Help him in the middle. Push him! Push him! Bottom's clear, bottom's clear. Keep pushing the 5." This after being 14th (and behind some lapped cars) at the white flag
Ross Chastain raced up to the front of the lead pack to unlap himself before the final caution, then pushed Kyle Larson to the win on his way to finishing fourth. Ross credited spotter Brandon McReynolds for calling to push Larson as the sun was in Ross' eyes. "I didn't know really what was happening. I just pushed the 5 because Brandon told me to and that worked out." Also asked Ross a bit about the alterations to the superspeedway package/spoiler and he mentioned he wasn't sliding around today as much as he was at Daytona in August. "If they want it to feel like summer Daytona, then we need to take some more off. But that's up to NASCAR. If they ask, I'll tell them."

Kyle Larson backed up what he told Cliff Daniels in Victory Lane, saying he almost went below the yellow line because he started celebrating early and had his hand off the wheel. "I'd have been really pissed at myself if I did go below ... When my momentum was taking me past the 47 I was fistpumping before I ever got to the line. So yeah, that would've been embarrassing if we didn't win." Larson also acknowledged that it was close.
Cliff Daniels shared in the Media Center that Kyle Larson apparently was fistpumping before he ever got to the finish line, and the fact he was driving one-handed as he passed Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was the reason he was as close to the yellow line as he was. Larson corroborated that just now. These are photos of Cliff seeing pictures of just how close it was

By that logic the Truck Series vehicle is unsafe because I've gotten the No Pictures signal after a crash in that race as well. I can't speak to the exact protocol but it's standard practice if NASCAR basically impounds a vehicle to keep it away from prying eyes.
Replying to @STaranto92
All because NASCAR doesn’t want the public to see how fucking unsafe that dogshit car is that’s why.

There was a lot of attention being paid to the 35 car in the garage area after the race. Saw NASCAR officials and 23XI team members looking it over as it was covered up No photos as I got the "keep moving" sign.
NASCAR is taking the 35 car of Riley Herbst to the R&D Center.
