Meet our #volunteers! 🤗 Raj Joneja is one of our trustees. 🤝🌳His background in finance is very helpful to the charity. 💶📈 He enjoys the range of people he meets in the role, & to those thinking of volunteering, says: "Put your head above the parapet, you won't regret it!"🙌
We have a 97% survival rate because we will only plant trees where we have a commitment to water regularly from someone living or working close by. This is essential!

So well done! We are so lucky to have you as a partner organisation. Huge thanks to all the volunteers who keep our trees thriving. The planting is the east bit!
We’re really pleased to report that the results of this year’s tree audit show our #trees are thriving despite climate conditions. 🌎🌳🥳 Our volunteers audited a record 524 trees & again we’ve achieved a survival rate of 97%!! To find out how visit our website 👍#environment

Kumari & Andrew sponsored this Magnolia in London SE26 last winter even though they both now live in Singapore! 🌳🎁🥰 Our tree labels are important for communicating with our communities 🏷️🗣️. Can tree guardians let us know asap if any need replacing.🙏 #environment
Definitely a good idea! 💡 We have tree guardians who commit to water new street #trees for the first three years and audit their trees annually. We also have a maintenance/treecare team who monitor the health of our trees. 🌳🤒🩺🙌#environment

In 3 months we went from 1% of students biking to school to over 33% & that was with a $500 grant. Now imagine if we actually invested in walking & biking. #BikeBus

Wetlands don’t care which direction the rain comes from ⚠️
They act as natural sponges and absorb excess rainwater, releasing it slowly rater than flooding.
We need more of these habitats to protect our communities from flood damage.

Urban greening in action. Bland & boring architecture is the norm these days, but it doesn't have to stay that way. Same buildings, different owners. One didn't bother much, the other demonstrates what a difference a few shrubs & trees can make. Where would you prefer to live & work?
We've been helping make rainwater gardens to reduce flood risk in Lewisham schools identified on @educationgovuk's top 5% #flood risk list! 🌍☔️ The project also aims to reduce heat stress in the playgrounds while bringing joy to the children in their new green spaces. 🌳🐝🦋🐦⬛🥳

It’s easy to forget just how dangerous and hostile this junction used to be for anyone choosing to walk, wheel or cycle. #DulwichSquare is thankfully now transformed and enables so much healthy #activetravel.
