Music isn’t extra. Music isn’t additional. Music isn’t discretionary. Music isn’t an add on. And, music isn’t disposable. Music Education is core. It’s fundamental. It’s necessary. It’s an irreplaceable component of a holistic and meaningful education. That’s what music is.
That was an epic performance by @duranduran, let's hope for a more united world, not just tonight, but forever.

Oh my word. That @Adele track done by @theshiresuk on the @BBCRadio2 Breakfast Show should have come with a warning.
I can't get out the car and go into work now, I'm an emotional wreck! Stunningly beautiful. But I'm 😭😭😭
@nathantimothy - you need listen!
@ZoeTheBall thank you!
Was having a tricky morning today, but listening to @JossStone singing live on @BBCRadio2 @ZoetheBall from Maida Vale has made everything better. Your voice is so soothing and magical, Joss! Thanks for putting a smile back on my face.

Every day is a learning day, the 90s legend @bettyboomania wrote the iconic Pure and Simple for Hear'Say.
Now off to google what other top hits she is responsible for. Thanks @BBCRadio2 and Alex Jones for bringing this information into my life.

My household is very excited about this and now my daughter is way cooler than me and has a record player, maybe we'll get the vinyl too!
Huge well done guys, it's been a long time, but worth the wait.

I just love listening to @Guy_Garvey talk about his work. Not only his soothing voice but it is so interesting to hear how they create such epic tunes.
Thank you to @BBCRadio2 for continuing to showcase the art of songwriting.

I was on a bit a slump this morning after an amazing night at the @BRITs last night, but then @willyoung on the @BBCRadio2 #pianoroom singing the iconic Evergreen to celebrate 20 years since Pop Idol has cheered me right up.
What a tune!

After her brilliant appearance on @BBCRadio2 can we get our very own Kimberley in the room where it happens tomorrow?
She has tickets to the BRITs but right at the top, can you help us get her in the real action?
@ZoeTheBall @BRITs @MoTheComedian @richie_anderson
I'm channelling my @richie_anderson vibes and going to publicly make a cheeky ask to @MoTheComedian. Could you get us tickets to sit with Richie tomorrow so we can do our @BRITs challenges together?
@ZoeTheBall and @BBCRadio2 help make it happen! Love Kimberley (from the radio!)
We need your help! If you have any contacts in the @BRITs or their nominated artists please could you get in touch?
We are organising a photo exhibition of legendary songwriters and our photographer @Johnnydeeable would love to grab some shots at the awards or rehearsals.
