For some reason, there’s an uptick in folks suggesting the Nordic model to us. The answer is no. We don’t want the Nordic model. We want decriminalization. Period.

For #DomesticViolenceAwarenessMonth , I wrote about some of the ways that abusive or harmful behaviors can show up for #sexworkers. Esp when they're based on normalized anti-sex work rhetoric, it can be hard to name, but even more important to address. medium.com/@reframehealthand…

You know what else is intrinsically tied to SW labor rights? Disability rights. Legally disabled folks can be paid less than minimum wage. & if they marry they risk losing benefits that already don't cover all expenses. You know what doesnt underpay you for being disabled? SW

Just a thought but its worth noting that human trafficking covers more than just Sex Trafficking. Labor exploitation is 60%+ of human trafficking. We have to address wage inequality & resource inaccesibility to get to the root of this issue as a whole.

"It will never be true that the best way to help sexworkers is to arrest them. Anyone who tells you otherwise is morally bankrupt liar. I would hope that most of you, watching police brutality videos pile up in recent months, would understand that we MUST be free of their grip."

Honestly, the mainstream acceptance of fear, not fact based, information about trafficking led to this. Sex workers have warned for years about the harm these misguided trafficking panics have. And now here we are.

The Hyde Amendment is a discriminatory abortion coverage ban rooted in racism. It disproportionately targets those already struggling to make ends meet—especially in BIPOC communities. It’s past time to #BeBoldEndHyde once and for all to make #AbortionAccess4All a reality.

The sex workers rights movement is not calling for the legalization of sex work; we are calling for the decriminalization of both sex workers and our clients. The STATE is the BIGGEST trafficker into forced labor, we all agree that the material conditions that inform why many...

Let’s do it. 94% of people arrested with this charge are Black women. The law’s enforcement is deeply discriminatory because the law is fundamentally a justification of profiling people based on their physical appearance. It’s beyond time for us to repeal it.

It passed!!! Once laws are won the books it is a cumbersome fight to remove them. This represents alot of hard work from alot of people, for a long time. And now the world is just a little freer.
Replying to @IsleyResistance
In Seattle today, the city council will vote on repealing drug and prostitution loitering. This would be a huge step forward for removing victimless crimes from the books and removing police overreach from our community.
