I strongly oppose the charges against Prof. Suryanarayana Doolla of IIT Bombay under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
My background: I belong to the Devendra Kula Vellalar (DKV) community, classified as SC. I grew up in deep rural poverty and witnessed the suffering of my people first-hand. I was educated thanks to broad-minded people from many communities.
I studied Electronics at NIT Tiruchirappalli, worked at C-DOT Bengaluru, and then at Intel in India and the US, where I rose to Engineering Director and Senior Silicon Architect, responsible for high-speed interconnects vital to modern CPUs and GPUs. I hold multiple patents in this field.
I share this to make clear that I know what it means to come from an SC community and rise through hard work and commitment.
Our DKV community has taken a principled, voluntary stand not to file SC/ST cases against anyone. We have seen how cases under this Act are weaponised, and how that deepens enmity on the ground.
On that basis, I oppose the misuse of this Act in this case. The case against Prof. Doolla must be withdrawn. This matters for the future of SC/ST students and for our nation.

Malaysia menzahirkan dukungan kepada Kerajaan Arab Saudi serta menghargai tindakan pantas yang diambil dalam memastikan keselamatan penduduk dan para jemaah di Makkah terus terpelihara.
Insiden ini sekali lagi mengingatkan kita akan keperluan untuk mengelakkan sebarang tindakan yang boleh mencetuskan ketegangan yang lebih meruncing di rantau tersebut.
Malaysia menyeru agar segala serangan terhadap kawasan awam dihentikan serta-merta, termasuk sebarang tindakan yang boleh mengancam keselamatan dan kesucian tempat-tempat suci.
Semua pihak yang terlibat harus memilih jalan damai menerusi dialog bagi meredakan ketegangan serta mencari penyelesaian tanpa berlengah.

Hindu secular girl from Kerala, Athulya Ashokan, converted to Islam some time ago and married a Muslim man named Risal Mansoor.
Before and after her wedding, she was very active on social media. She often made fun of the movie The Kerala Story and shared Reels and Stories with her husband, saying:
→ “This is my love — this is the real Kerala Story.”
→ “There’s no such thing as ‘love jihad’ — this movie is fake.”
→ “I chose Islam on my own — no one forced me.”
But now, suddenly, frightening messages are appearing on her Instagram Stories:
→ “My life is in danger… Risal wants to kill me.”
→ “I tried to go to the police — no one is listening.”
→ “I’m being held captive at home. He beats me and threatens to kill me.”
→ “If anything happens to me, Risal Mansoor is the only one responsible.”
In several posts, she appears to be crying and visibly frightened. Some posts also show what appear to be bruises on her face. She has also shared screenshots that she says contain threatening messages from Risal.
The same girl who once said, “Love jihad is a lie,” is now reportedly begging for her life.
Athulya Ashokan’s allegations are extremely serious. If she is genuinely in danger, she needs immediate protection and help before it is too late.

In 1822, Muslim Turks captured two Greek Christian women in Naousa and attempted to force them to convert to Islam. They smeared them with honey on the head and tied them exposed, so as to receive the stings of wasps and of passersby.
The first woman, wife of captain Zafeirakis, was then built into the wall up to the neck in the church of Hagia Sophia in Thessaloniki. She was left there for days for the entertainment of the wild mob that went there cursing and hitting her head with sticks as it protruded from the wall. She did not back down for a moment, strengthened until her last breath by prayer, and she never abandoned her Christian faith. Her martyrdom lasted five days. A passing gypsy woman, to hasten her end, threw a large stone at her, and thus the blessed one delivered her heroic soul into the hands of God, Whom she did not deny.
The other woman, Maria, refused to change her faith, and for this Ebub Lubut enclosed her in a sack with deadly snakes, where she was martyred.
The historian Eustathios Stougiannakis writes:
"The acute venom diffused into the veins of the martyr from the bites, however, killed her in sweet lethargy, praying until the last moment for her executioners and invoking the Most High and the Virgin."
And Pouqueville describes in the darkest colors to the civilized world the dramatic scenes he saw with his own eyes there:
"Many women naked were put up to the neck in sacks with cats, snakes, and mice…"
The lifeless bodies of these holy women were eventually thrown into the sea.
These events took place during the Naousa massacre.

This is not a scene from a movie. This is October 7.
This is 4-year-old Negev and his six-month-old brother, Eshel.
The terrorists rocking Eshel in the stroller and holding Negev by the hand had just murdered their mother, Adi.
Negev later said:
"Bad people came into our house with drills and drilled through the whole house. They wanted to drill Eshel, but Mom wouldn’t let them. She told us to remember that she loved us more than anything in the world. And then she left."
The terrorists placed grenades around Adi’s body and left her as bait inside one of the rooms. They tied another grenade to the door handle, so whoever came looking for her would be killed too.
Then they filmed a propaganda video to show how "good" they were. They gave wounded Negev water and filmed him saying thank you in Arabic.
They had just murdered his mother in front of him.
Imagine that.
Moments later, they took Negev and Eshel to a neighbor’s house. From there, the terrorists kidnapped all three and headed toward Gaza.
On the way, Eshel cried nonstop. His crying bothered the terrorists, who thought he would become a problem later on, so they left all three by the side of the road and continued toward Gaza.
They walked back to Kibbutz Holit and survived.
The truth cannot be erased.
