The actual prompt for this was "let's look for pre-auth RCEs in PHP". I'm sharing this so people know this stuff is real and to take agent-assisted scanning seriously.
I kicked if off using Claude Mythos 5.1 (in stock Claude Code) but it uses a skill to drive a harness we built over the last few months.
I don't know if the harness is amazing, but it certainly has a scary track record so far. It's setup to do an agent guided tree search across a codebase, and runs in microvm sandboxes that all have the full source code for the target, as well as the source for any transitive dependencies.
When I built the harness I basically just fed Claude a bunch of Project Zero blog posts describing how they did research and had it build a harness that ran like that, but on our tech stack.
The first phase is just setup and can run with any model, it just does that fetching and assembles the kit environment, and gets a target up and running alongside the source code.
Then we just do some basic suspend/resume stuff over to the hunt phase, where one agent supervises the tree, and the first node kicks off.
Each node is context-aware and aware of the work of all the others. I think I ran this with parallelism 4? So 4 running at any one time. The supervisor can shape the tree and boost nodes or prune. Any node can add more below it with targeted instructions.
A typical run looks like the first node doing a codebase review or building and running a fuzzer or something, all depending on the target. Then based on whatever it finds, it'll queue 4-5 children that go look into those areas. The main system guidance is to validate everything 3 times in clean VMs, and we typically require full exploit chains/POCs.
Here's what this run looked like.
We're doing this with a bunch of other open source projects now and companies. We're doing a lot of this for free, even with private companies, across critical infrastructure. We're directly partnered with Anthropic, and can do this even if you don't have direct access to a frontier model yourself.

Introducing Chainguard Harness: a vulnerability hunter that uses Anthropic’s Claude Mythos 5.1 to find and fix exploitable vulnerabilities in a live build of your application.
Chainguard reproduces every finding and reviews every fix before it reaches you. No model access required.
Chainguard Harness is available now in Claude Marketplace by @AnthropicAI, so Anthropic customers can use their existing commitment to buy it: claude.com/marketplace/agent…
Incredibly exciting company in the making. It's just the beginning for @modal. We couldn't be more thrilled to continue backing @bernhardsson, @akshat_b, and this exceptional team. LFG!
All of us at @Redpoint couldn’t be more thrilled to be in business with @nirzuk and co. Go @CylakeAI!
Modern cybersecurity has an architectural problem.
The organizations with the most to protect get the least protection. Their data cannot leave their control, and the industry’s best tools live in a cloud they cannot use.
So they make do with less. Less data, less AI, less defense. We are rebuilding the entire cybersecurity stack to end that dilemma, starting the other way: your requirements, your premises, your data going nowhere.
A complete cybersecurity platform that runs all cybersecurity functions, hardware included.
Today, we raised another $245 million to keep building, with participation from @lightspeedvp, Picture Capital, and @Redpoint.

Frontier AI models had a giant performance gain in coding in the Fall of 2025
Then with cybersecurity in April
This is now happening with open-weight models
We are optimistic about the long-term
But outside of a few players, we believe the world is not ready in the short-term
In recent weeks, OpenAI, Anthropic and Meta all disclosed that their most advanced AI models went rogue, accessing the internet and hacking into other companies’ systems during routine security testing.
All of these companies were testing their models using software from Israeli AI startup Irregular, which runs thousands of simulations to evaluate AI’s cyber capabilities. Keep reading: forbes.com/sites/the-prompt/…

We appreciate @AnthropicAI's collaboration and transparency. Addressing these risks will require closer cooperation across the AI ecosystem. We as well look forward to working together with Anthropic to advance security.
In a review of our cybersecurity evaluations, we found three incidents in which a Claude model reached the internet from within or while interacting with a third-party evaluation environment, and then gained unauthorized access to the real systems of three different organizations.
Our post describes what happened, how it happened, and what we’re changing. We encourage other AI developers to perform similar reviews.
We conducted this review together with @Irregular, one of our evaluation partners, and thank them for the joint investigation and their collaboration on this post. This type of collaboration is increasingly critical to safe, rigorous evaluation of models, and we look forward to continuing to work together on security.

We're honored to continue our support of @K2SpaceCo as @KaranKunjur, @neelkunjur, and the entire team close their $500M Series D.
K2 is on an important mission to build massive, high-performance satellites across all orbits. These satellites unlock new commercial and government opportunities that will define the future of space.
Space is becoming one of the most strategically important technology sectors, and K2 is quickly establishing itself as one of the most innovative teams in this market. They're not assembling a satellite; they're redefining the architecture needed for the next decade of space missions.
In just 4 years, K2 has already designed and deployed multiple space technology breakthroughs. Technical diligence in this category is hard, but one of the clearest signals is where the most talented people in the domain choose to go. With K2, that signal was impossible to ignore, and we continue to be amazed by everything this incredible team has accomplished.
We're proud to partner with Karan, Neel, and the whole K2 team as they expand the boundaries of what's possible in space. Congratulations 🎉!
Serving a 2.8T model well takes a village.
Grateful to @simon_mo_, @rogerw0108 and everyone at @inferact, who spent five days trading configs and optimizations with us, right up into the early hours of day zero.
And to @Kimi_Moonshot for bringing us together. We're excited to contribute our work upstream to @vllm_project.
Our open source vLLM recipe for K3 lands on Modal soon.
With Kimi K3 Day-0 on vLLM: Open Frontier Intelligence for Everyone 🚀
At 2.8 trillion parameters, Moonshot AI's Kimi K3 is one of the most powerful open-weight models ever released. Starting today, you can serve it on vLLM the moment the weights are public.
What K3 brings:
🧠 2.8T-parameter Mixture-of-Experts (16 of 896 experts active per token)
📚 1M-token context window
🛠️ Native multimodal understanding, including vision
⚡ Kimi Delta Attention: a hybrid of linear and full attention that makes million-token context affordable
Huge thank you to @Kimi_Moonshot AI for the model release and partnership, @inferact for leading the vLLM optimizations, and to our partners at @nvidia, @AMD, and the broader vLLM community.

Huge announcement today from @chainguard_dev. Chainguard launched Athena, a shared defense network for the AI era for open-source software security.
Athena is the first systematic response to the wave of vulnerabilities AI is uncovering at scale in the post-Mythos era.
Instead of find bug → disclose publicly → patch → hope people update, the coalition works like this: Pool the intelligence → Patch and fix under embargo → Neutralize at network level → Then disclose publicly
Athena is the clearinghouse and Chainguard provides the vulnerability remediation and continuous reconciliation. Founding members include: BNY, Cisco, Cloudflare, Corridor, DepthFirst, Docker, JPMorgan Chase, Kyndryl, LTIMindtree, and PwC.

Introducing Athena: the industry coalition to protect open source software from AI attacks.
Athena is operational today. More than two dozen members. It's processed 20,000+ findings and generated 2,000+ patches across 500+ open source projects.

Today we announced our Series G: $600M at a $12 billion valuation, to continue building the trust layer for enterprise AI.
Every enterprise working toward AI transformation lands on the same question: can they trust it? The industry has built out chips, models, and compute. What it needs now is trust infrastructure: the layer that determines what AI can see and do.
That's what this round is for.
