Gratitude isn't just a pleasant feeling; it's increasingly seen as a powerful mind enhancer. When you embrace gratitude, it's like your brain gets an upgrade. You become more nimble in thinking, more adaptable to change, and generally more resourceful. Being grateful doesn't just make you happier—it makes you sharper, broadening your capabilities and opening doors to more opportunities and success. This isn't just a nice thought; it's a transformative mental practice.

Why can't you stop thinking about the thing you didn't finish? That's the Zeigarnik Effect, and you can use it on purpose. In 1927, psychologist Bluma Zeigarnik noticed something odd. Waiters remembered every unpaid order in detail, then forgot it as soon as the bill was settled. Her experiments suggested that unfinished tasks stick in our minds more than finished ones.

Psychologist K. Anders Ericsson’s landmark 1993 study argued that expert performance in fields like music and chess comes from long-term deliberate practice rather than innate talent. The research showed top violinists accumulated thousands more hours of focused, solitary practice than less accomplished peers, inspiring the widely known “10,000-hour rule”, which Ericsson later clarified was a misinterpreted average rather than a fixed rule.

Meet Anagha Rajesh
24-year-old entrepreneur who invested ₹5 crore to build a Bengaluru-based lab called BioCompute.
She developed technology that can store data in DNA.
When she approached Indian investors they refused to fund her company because they wanted quick returns, which BioCompute couldn’t promise.
She also received no meaningful support from the Indian government.
Anagha eventually sold her lab for pennies and moved to the United States. As soon as she arrived investors lined up.
Bitter truth: India talks about becoming a global superpower but fails to value the skilled people who want to build India.

Critical thinking also changes how you act in a room. Lindred Greer and Jennifer Dannals, who study conflict in teams, found that teams which encourage “open, cooperative, non-emotional task debates are more likely to reap the benefits of conflict.”

How long does it take for a lifetime to pass?
Life is so short, after all.
If even in this short life you have to ask someone for permission to take time off — then what’s the point?
If you have to think a thousand times before carving out a moment for yourself — then what’s the point?
If you become rich, yet end up poor in memories — then what’s the point?
Tell me, what is the point?
If we start living under someone else’s control —
Then tell me, what is the purpose of such a life?
What good are friends with whom you can’t laugh freely?
What good is love in which you never crossed the limits?
What good is wealth that never came to the aid of your own people?
What good are dreams that couldn’t wake you up?
What good is a house under whose roof you never find peace?
What good are relationships on whose shoulders you could never cry?
Because how long does it take for a lifetime to pass, sir?
Life is so short, after all.
If even in this, the wretched happy ending never arrives — then what’s the point?

Historian and philosopher Yuval Noah Harari has warned that artificial intelligence (AI) could make humans intellectually and practically comparable to cows within the next 10 to 20 years, as increasingly complex financial and legal systems potentially move beyond human understanding.
In an interview with Daniel Stach for Czech Television, Harari compared humanity's possible future relationship with AI to the way cows exist within human-controlled agricultural and financial systems without understanding how those systems work.
