Here’s a nice analysis of 2.5M children about Tylenol and autism. The study found a small association between tylenol use in pregnancy and autism, but the association went away in sibling analysis. In sibling analysis you compare children born to the same mother where one child was exposed to Tylenol but not the other. This is a better comparison because genetics are similar between siblings whereas they differ greatly in non siblings from different families. Bottom line: no increased risk of autism with tylenol use in a huge population analysis. jamanetwork.com/journals/jam…

Nurses who have cared for residents during climate-related weather events in Canadian LTC homes are invited to participate in our study.
Note: if you choose to respond to this page on social media platforms you may be publicly identified with the study through your profile.
ALT We are recruiting nurses (RNs, LPNs, RPNs) to learn more about their experiences of providing care in long-term care homes during climate-related weather events (e.g. extreme heat/cold, wildfires/air quality, flooding). The study is inclusive of staff nurses, educators, clinicians, managers/DOCs, and advance practice. Participation involves a one-on-one interview via Zoom and completion of a demographic form. Participants will receive a $25 honorarium. We are recruiting until June 30, 2024. Email [email protected] for more information.
