Two ears next to their stalks, one on the left I calculated at 180 bushels/acre the other I figured 268 bushels/acre. Only difference is when it emerged this spring. @iowa_corn
Another reason to spread out your planting window. April 16th planted corn. 16.8x38.8 @ 34k. @iowa_corn
Looked at a field that had crusting and uneven emergence this spring. Looks good from the road but once you get out there and look at ears it’s a little disappointing. These 5 ears averaged 15.2x32.4 @ 32k. There’s good corn out there but it’s all not big yields. @iowa_corn – at Fort Dodge, IA

Finding a lot of pods that aborted 1-2 beans per pod @MNelson_ISU
Seeing some heavy Rootworm pressure. This field is just starting to tassel. @Iowa_Channel @cwinterboer @MNelson_ISU
April 10th planted corn. Should be able to row it by the end of the week. @ChannelSeed @Iowa_Channel @cwinterboer @MNelson_ISU
Channel 211-11VT2PRIB planted Monday April 10th @Iowa_Channel @ChannelSeed @MNelson_ISU @channelseed_cia
Time of year to get seed sorted and out the door. @Iowa_Channel @ChannelSeed @channelseed_cia @cwinterboer
Edge effect was as bad as I have ever seen this year. In the past we would see it in the first 16-24 rows. This year it was a lot worse. Tough to have good whole field averages if you had beans bordering.
Ears on the left were first year corn with fall applied anhydrous. Ears on the right were from a field I decided to go C/C in April with spring applied N. Planted within a few days of each other. A mile apart. Should have went to beans..
