The last 3 Democratic presidents have created 24 times more jobs than the last 3 Republicans. Nearly 50 million on the Democratic side of the ledger vs. just 2 million for the GOP.

Labor Day reminded us why we fight. The worker power and solidarity was incredible! Let's keep the fight going and vote this November for candidates who will stand with us, not billionaires. 📸-@dylanmanshack

Weekends. Workplace safety protections. Child labor laws. Retirement security. Paid time off. These are things we enjoy today because workers fought for them and won. This Labor Day, let's get inspired and keep fighting for better for working people ✊

On @TheWeekendMSNOW ahead of Labor Day, AFL-CIO President @LizShuler made it clear: working people are struggling in this economy — and cutting our services and giving more tax breaks to billionaires isn’t helping the workers who make our economy and country run every day.

Yesterday, @GCAARNow began distributing materials to DC voters claiming that our Council along with @IAFF36 and DC Nurses endorsed @kenyanmcduffie. This claim is patently false. Not only did we NOT endorse McDuffie, not a single union has endorsed him. Our statement:

BREAKING: Trump says D.C. restaurants are “bursting.” Reality check. After his Aug 11 police takeover, OpenTable shows seated diners in Washington fell 16% that day, then cratered 31% by Aug 13, and were still down around 20% through Aug 16. Restaurant Week kicked off Aug 18 and the slump stuck, with marquee operators saying there’s no uptick.

RIGHT NOW: @freedcproject_ is holding a protest on the plaza in front of the White House as we await the President’s press conference. We’re hearing he’ll deploy the National Guard to patrol DC, but we should learn more any minute now. Protestors say “Hands off DC!” @wusa9
